India is one of the few countries in the world which registered positive growth
despite the financial crisis. The Indian Government forecast growth for the fiscal
year ending March 2010 to be between 6.25 and 6.7 per cent, and growth for next
year to be 7 to 8 per cent, keeping in step with the 7 per cent average growth
attained in the past decade. This has helped to reduce poverty in the country by
10 per cent. The Government has identified infrastructure as a key development
requirement, and has earmarked approximately US$559 billion for infrastructure
upgrades in its 11th Five-Year Plan.
Pro AV systems manufacturers and suppliers such as Extron, Da-Lite, Jupiter Systems,
projectiondesign, Wolfvision, Kramer, Creator, Beyerdynamic, Abtus, Arclite, Barix
and Communication Specialties are responding to the business opportunities
presented in India. Taking advantage of the Road Show platform offered by
InfoCommAsia, these companies will showcase their audio and visualization
solutions to Indian enterprises – solutions in command and control operations,
collaborative conferencing, education, intelligent building and entertainment
delivery, among others.
While these solutions have direct relevance to end-users in various sectors, including
transportation, education & training, corporate & IT, leisure & entertainment, retail &
hospitality, marketing & convention, healthcare, finance, legal and government,
the exhibitors are also looking at connecting with channel distributors to expand
their business in India. Visitors to the India Road Show will also be invited to attend
the InfoComm Asia event which will be held in Hong Kong from 17 – 19 November
2010.
The Road Show program covers product displays and seminar presentations.
Attendance is free and by invitation only. Food and beverage will be provided.
