Biography:
I attended Emmett High School in Emmett, Idaho, where I received my
high school diploma. While attending there, the only sport that I really played was
football. My senior year is when I decided to become a Physical Education K-12
teacher, as physical fitness and teaching had began to applaud to my attention
around that time.
The summer of 2010 is when I first started working at my first job, Ada
Boarding and Grooming. I worked there for a total of three and half months,
learning skills such as communication between staff members and clients,
learning how to run the front desk and work with clients, and upkeeping the basic
maintenance of the kennel. The mandatory skills that I learned were proper
feeding, medicating dogs and cats, and properly cleaning each animals kennel.
I started my college years at the College of Western Idaho in August of
2010, and I am expecting to graduate with my AA degree in physical education in
May of 2014. Class that I have taken have been helpful in teaching me about my
field of choice have been Education 201, 202, 204, and 205, all which required
me to do observations and student teaching, learning what it was like to be a
teacher. Mandatory classes that I have taken include Physical Education 150,
155, 160, 210, 285, and 230. Each of these classes have taught me about the
teaching of physical education and the fundamentals and principals of physical
education, as well as integrating physical education into a regular classroom.
By the time that I reach my goal of being a teacher, I feel that I will be
ready to teach, and continue to learn as the teaching age progresses.
