SkillCentre Minibus Driver (Ref: SCMD2994)

Salary: 11,480 per annum (full time equivalent: 14,775 per annum)
Location: Trafford Park and across Greater Manchester
Permanent 6.45am 5.00pm - 3 working days per week between Monday Friday as per rota


Skills and Works Solutions are currently looking for a replacement Minibus Driver (must have category D1 on
licence) to join part of our driver team to provide a professional, reliable, punctual and safe transport service
for learners and customers. This is an ongoing permanent position with immediate start for the right
candidate. To be based in Trafford Park and Manchester City Centre.

The duties of the job include:

Operating minibus vehicles transporting learners and customers both young people and adults to and
from the Skill Centre based in Trafford Park.
To provide a professional, reliable, punctual and safe transport service for Skills and Work Solutions
learners and customers.
Providing support to the SkillCentre training teams to enable efficient teaching and learning to take
place.
Providing support to SkillCentre facilities staff to assist in the smooth running of the SkillCentre.
To drive in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of passengers, other road users,
members of the public and yourself at all times.
Being responsible for the safety and comfort of passengers.
Being responsible for the cleanliness of vehicles, inside and out and ensuring the vehicle is in a clean
and roadworthy condition before and after use.
Maintaining learner travel volume information both to and from centre, and to monitor attendance
against return journey bookings.
To carry out additional daily driving duties as agreed by Minibus Team Leader e.g. Post run, PPE
collection, collection of bulk items, transport of other Skills and Work Solutions learners etc.
To ensure CCTV systems are uploaded and delivered to designated person on a weekly basis

We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

A current, clean and valid driving licence for a minimum of 2 years and be aged 21 or over (in line with
government legal requirements).
A licence to drive a 16 passenger seat mini bus for learners. Section D1.
Able to carry out vehicle maintenance Health and Safety checking procedures.
Able to complete and maintain vehicle records.
Pleasant and approachable.
Able to represent the Greater Manchester SkillCentre in a smart and professional manner at all times.
Able to relate to SkillCentre learners of all ages
