I. COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course deals with the development of effective oral skills for various situations.

V. GENERAL OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Understand and appreciate the nature of speech communication process;
2. Become critical of everyday speaking experience and become capable of coping with communication problems at all levels;
3. Train in the effective use of thought, verbal and non-verbal symbols toward ethical speech situations;
4. Practice the art of communication in its totality;
5. Promote goodwill through ethical speech;
6. Integrate concepts on Gender and Development (GAD) and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) where applicable.
