I am available for virtual ofce hours through instant messaging in GChat (accessible
through a current Gmail account) & in Google+ Hangouts on Tuesday & Thursday
evenings from 4-8 P.M. Please also feel free to schedule a quick prole call with me via
email if your preference is to have a discussion over the phone.
The course website, http://techteach4edu.weebly.com, will be checked periodically on a
daily basis as will emails. Please allow a response time of 24 hours, Monday-Thursday and
48 hours, Friday-Sunday. It is in your best interest that you plan ahead & allow yourself time
to address any questions, comments, or concerns about Tech Teach.

the Overview, Modules, Tech Tools, & Connect tabs. All updates will be posted to the
Forum tab. For any immediate or dire changes, I will contact you directly with the email
address youve provided.
As far as technical support & assistance, I am here to serve as your facilitator and guide.
Please have an understanding of how to use MAC & iOS devices, email, search engines,
access to a word processor such as Pages or Word, as well as navigate on the internet. The
course site supports all browsers but I recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari on
your MAC operating system.

TECH TEACH
OBJECTI VES
Understand the purposes of technology & why it is necessary to incorporate tech in your
classroom.
Identify & recognize the various forms of digital media.
Develop a tech skill-set. Understand existing attitudes toward tech in our current
educational system.
Effectively manipulate & implement the introduced digital resources explained in this
course.
Reinforce & expand on Common Core aligned pedagogy.
Curate a digital curriculum.
Embrace & exhibit proper practices of virtual learning.
Motivate students in the primary grades by leading as a facilitator of digital knowledge.
Encourage fellow educators & students to explore using forms of digital media.
ATTENDANCE, LATE WORK, & GRADI NG POLI CI ES
As an enrolled student in Tech Teach, you will be required to attend the three virtual,
asynchronous sessions conducted each week. During these weekly asynchronous sessions,
you will be responsible for your own digital learning thus completing the assigned course
Modules and posting to the Forum. Please refer to the course schedule for further
clarication. Dereliction of meeting these attendance requirements will result in automatic
failure.
There will be no late or make-up work accepted in this course. In signicant extenuating
circumstances, there may be a possibility to discuss your situation prior to course
deadlines.

Web-based and scholarly articles as well as videos will be provided by the instructor on
the course site.

Submitted responses should be grammatically correct, well written, and outside content
should conform to the latest edition of APA style. As far as postings, students must curate
their own Forum posting and then respond to at least three other colleagues in the course
by 7 P.M. on the dates of asynchronous sessions listed in the schedule.
