Objectives:
AlbertE. Banduras’ Self-efficacy theory believed that social modelling is a very effective way of
learning. Social learning theory focuses on what people learn from observing and interacting with other
people. It stated that people are active participants in their environment. On the other hand, Carol S.
Durecks has another theory which is the fixed and growth mindset. The theory believed that people who
believe that success are based on their innate abilities have a fixed “mindset” of intelligence, whereas
people who believe that success is based on hard works, training and perseverance have “growth
method” of intelligence.
Another theorist contributor is Edwin A. Locke’s Goal setting theory that presented 7 research
findings;
