So too should you be careful about Allah. Do remember Him often, of His most Beautiful Names and
Attributes.....but beware of speaking about Him, quoting the Qur'an, if you have little Knowledge of Him.
You may render yourself a liar in the presence of Allah and be declined the promise of Paradise" - Imam

The analogy of classical Scholars (e.g., Imam al-Ghazzali) of the life of this world to traversing a
dangerous sea is very apt.




The sea is wrought of danger and peril. One needs a trusting guide, a lighthouse to show the way lest
one crashes into the darkness of reefs or be crushed by gigantic waves. One also needs a suitable ship,
because just any old one will do. The will provide security and... protection from the dangers and
provide clear guidance regarding following all the signs to safety.




The guide light is the beloved Prophet, upon whom be peace and blessings of Allah, and the ship is the
Deen of Allah equipped with His Commands and Guidance through the permissible and the prohibited.
The signs are the creation that if read properly takes one to safety which is the meeting one's Lord.




May Allah give us all His Aid to journey through this dangerous sea, and may Allah keep our ship strong
and steady, and may Allah keep us awake so we see the light of guidance that shows us the way to Him
