TONIGHTS GAME: The Sounds welcome back Moneybags Capps Round Rock Express (AAA-Rangers) for the opener

of a five-game
series. It is the 7th of 16 scheduled meetings between the clubs this year. Nashville leads the season series, 4-2, but Round Rock holds
a narrow 77-73 advantage in the all-time series. This evenings game will be broadcast live on 102.5-FM The Game as well as via an
internet webcast available at www.nashvillesounds.com. Jeff Hem is on the call.
WEISENBURGER TO SOUNDS; ZARRAGA TO HUNTSVILLE: Catcher Adam Weisenburger was added to the Sounds roster today
after appearing in 64 games with Double-A Huntsville, where he hit for a .258 average with two home runs and 22 RBIs. The 25-year-
old entered the 2014 season rated by Baseball America as the best defensive catcher in the Brewers organization. To make room for
Weisenburger, catcher Shawn Zarraga was sent to Huntsville after hitting .213 in 17 games with Nashville.
BATTLE AT THE TOP: The Sounds enter tonights game with a one-game advantage over the Express for first place in the American
Conferences Southern Division. Nashville has held the top spot for 37 of the last 38 days, including the last 16 in a row.
JUNG GUN: Right-hander Taylor Jungmann, rated as the Brewers #8 prospect, holds a 0.82 ERA (1er/11ip) in his last two starts. He
has pitched well at the friendly confines of Greer Stadium, posting a 3.69 ERA (16er/39.0ip) in six home starts (6.34 ERA on road). PCL
batters are hitting .257 off of Jungmann, but the 24-year-old is holding lefties to a .183 mark (22-for-120).
NO-FLY ZONE: Nashville hurlers have allowed only five homers in their last 147 1/3 innings of work (just one every 29.1 innings). The
club allowed two homers in the road trip finale Tuesday, marking the first multi-HR game since before the All-Star break on July 13.
START ME UP: Sounds starting pitchers have allowed only 20 earned runs over their last 16 games (78.1 IP) to boast a 2.30 ERA.
WHOLE LOTTA GLOVE: Sounds position players have committed only two errors in their last 118 1/3 innings, dating back to July 22.
Nashville is tied for 2nd in the PCL with a .981 fielding mark this season (Memphis leads at .984).
DEALIN: The Sounds 3.60 team ERA leads the PCL on the year. Nashville boasts the top two individual ERAs in the circuit (recent
call-up Jimmy Nelson is 1st at 1.46, while Mike Fiers is 2nd at 2.55). Sounds pitchers have given up only 72 home runs, the fewest
allowed in the PCL (2nd-fewest allowed is 86 by Oklahoma City).
PUNCHOUT PARTY: Nashville hurlers rank 2nd in the minor leagues with 1,008 strikeouts (Class A+ Stockton, 1,033). Sounds pitch-
ers are on pace for 1,230 Ks this year, which would easily top the clubs current single-season record (1,148 in 2007).
MISTER ROGERS: Infielder Jason Rogers has hits in 16 of his last 22 starts, averaging .318 (27-for-85) over that stretch. He has driven
in a run in 12 of his last 21 tilts with 14 RBIs over that span. Rogers .444 RISP average (12-for-27) is the best on the club.
EU IS A-OK: Utilityman Eugenio Velez has a hit in 20 of his last 25 starts, batting .326 (30-for-92) over that stretch. The 32-year-old
ranks 13th among PCL batters with his .313 batting average and leads the team with 32 multiple-hit games. Velezs .321 average since
the All-Star break is best among Sounds hitters.
HITTIN HECTOR: Infielder Hector Gomez is batting .324 (35-for-108) with hits in 25 of his last 31 games with 15 RBIs and 11 extra-
base hits. The 26-year-old leads the team with 12 homers this season.
CLOSE CALLS: Ten of the Sounds last 15 losses have come by two runs or less. Nashville is 33-27 in one- or two-run decisions.
POWER OUTAGE: The Sounds have slugged only two home runs over the past nine games (74 innings), including none in the last
five contests. Shortstop Hector Gomez leads Nashville with 12 home runs. The Sounds lowest single-season team-leading total dur-
ing the clubs PCL era (1998-present) was 17 dingers, accomplished twice: Armando Romero in 2002 and Sean Halton in 2012.
EARLY BIRD GETS THE WIN: Nashville is 48-18 when scoring first this season, including a stellar 31-2 mark at Greer Stadium. The
48 wins are 2nd-most among PCL clubs when first on the board. The Sounds are outscoring their foes, 175-127, in the first three frames.
SOUND BYTES: The Sounds are 14-16 in series openers (7-8 at home and on the road) ... The Sounds last suffered four consecu-
tive losses during their season-worst eight-game losing streak from June 13 to June 20 ... Infielder Pete Orr has hit safely in nine of
his last 15 games at a .333 clip (14-for-42) ... Nashville ranks 4th in the PCL with 10 shutout wins (Iowa leads with 12) ... Sounds bat-
