During the Spanish era, Filipinas are not
recognized. They are not prioritized to be
educated, they are taught to do household
chores and ho to be a housei!e. Many became
contented ith this scenario, but one stand out.
Melchora Aquino changed the image o! being a
Filipina.
She had the initiati"e to help her !ello Filipinos
