Introduction:

This course is designed for all levels of management and those whose responsibility it is to
maintain existing systems and is likely to be involved in auditing their organisation towards
meeting BS 18001:2007 requirements.

an appreciation of the importance of managing Health and Safety at work
understanding of Health and Safety management systems including the requirements
BS OHSAS 18001:2007
understanding the concept of legal compliance management
Understanding of the concepts and methods for risk management.
a detailed understanding of the principal requirements for auditing H&S
Management systems.
Ability to plan and conduct an audit of and OH&SMS and report its results

The course uses a mixture of taught sessions, interactive group discussions, exercises,
and workshops to achieve its aims. The practical exercises are based upon a
Fictional company. The practical exercises have been carefully designed to focus upon
Issues that commonly arise during Health and Safety audits.


PRE-REQUISITES
Familiarity with the structure and requirements of BS 18001:2007 would be of benefit. Lack of
this will not be detrimental to those contemplating, or in the process of auditing for BS
18001:2007 requirements.

Timings: The course will begin at 9.00 A.M. and will go up to 6.00 P.M. On last day of the course
there will be a written examination.
VENUE:
Industrial Fire & Safety Training Institute (IIFS), Vishakhapatnam.

CERTIFICATION:
BVCI approved certificate will be issued to those participants who satisfactorily complete the
continuous assessment and written examination. However, participants who do not qualify in
written examination will be given certificate of attendance only.
Such delegates can re-sit in any subsequent written examination within a period of 12 months
from the date of this examination.

COURSE FEE:
The total course fee for this non-residential Training Course is Rs.9,000/- plus service tax of
12.36% This is inclusive of registration
