Week #4

1. B–1 fouls A–1 and is awarded a one and one. As the official is reporting the foul, A–1 is charged with a
technical foul. After all the free throws are completed, official uses the alternating possession procedure
to resume play. Is the official correct?

2. B–1, in an attempt to stop a bounce pass, extends his/her leg toward the ball. Ball hits B–1 in the thigh.
Official rules this a kicking violation. Is the official correct?

3. While A–1’s try is in flight , A–2 fouls B–2. The try is successful. Team B is not in the bonus. Official
rules team B’s throw-in is a designated spot throw-in. Is the official correct?

4. A–1, who is straddling the three point line, picks up the foot inside the line and prior to placing it back
on the floor outside the line, A–1 tries for goal. Official rules this a two point try. Is the official correct?

5. A–1 receives the ball while in the air. A–1 lands on the left foot, jumps off that foot and lands
simultaneously on both feet. Official rules this a traveling violation. Is the official correct?

6. Prior to A–1 attempting his/her first free throw of two, A–6 reports to the scorer’s table to substitute for
A–2. The scorer sounds the horn and the official beckons A–6 into the game. Is the official correct?

9. While A–1 is dribbling, A–2 is charged with a common foul. This is team A’s seventh foul of the half.
