PS6003: GAS DEHYDRATION UNIT

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Dehydration Facilities remove water from the Process gas to a dew point of
45 [F] at 400 [psig]. The wet sour gas leaving the 1st Stage Chiller KO Drum
at a temperature of 80 F enters TEG Contactor where water is absorbed and
removed by a lean TEG stream. The dehydrated sour gas then flows through
the Gas / TEG Exchanger and goes to further hydrocarbon dew pointing. Rich
TEG from the TEG Contactor is heated in the TEG Still Condenser and flashed
to an intermediate pressure in the TEG Flash Drum where some water and
hydrocarbon vapors are liberated. The TEG leaving the TEG Flash Drum then
passes through the TEG Rich / Lean Exchanger where it is heated in counter
flow to a hot lean TEG stream prior to entering the TEG Regenerator.

The TEG is heated to 395 [F] using the Regenerator Reboiler Heater. The
heat source is an electric heater. The hot, regenerated lean TEG exits the
TEG Regenerator and enters the TEG Accumulator. The TEG Accumulator
provides a surge capacity for the TEG. The lean TEG leaving this vessel is
partially cooled against the rich TEG in the TEG Rich / Lean Exchanger prior
to being pumped in the TEG Circulation Pump. Pumped Lean TEG is cooled in
the Gas / TEG Exchanger and recycled to the TEG Contactor. The vapor off
the top of the TEG Flash Drum and TEG Regenerator are high in BTX, H2S,
CO2, and water saturated which are sent for Off-gas treatment.

PS6005: LPG UNIT

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

LPG Unit consists of the following sections:
De-ethanizer
De-propanizer
LPG Column

The Deethanizer operates as a reboiled absorber column. The top liquid feed
from the Absorber supplies the necessary top reflux to the column. The
Deethanizer overhead vapor flows to Reflux Condenser. Sufficient heat is
supplied to the Deethanizer in the Deethanizer Reboiler to strip the ethane
and sufficient propane from the liquid product to insure that the proper LPG
specification products can be produced in the downstream fractionation
columns. The liquid product from the Deethanizer flows to the downstream
De-propanizer column. Overhead vapors from the De-propanizer column are
totally condensed providing sufficient reflux and Propane product. Liquid
product from the De-propanizer column is fed to LPG column. Overhead vapors
from the LPG column are totally condensed providing sufficient reflux and LPG
product. Liquid product from the LPG column is taken as NGL.

PS6006: NGL RECOVERY UNIT

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

This plant consists of the following units:
Gas/Gas/Liquid Exchangers
Warm Separator
Turbo Expander compressor
J-T Valve
De-ethanizer Absorber

Dry gas from the dehydration systems enters the NGL recovery section and it
divided into two portions. The first portion is cooled and partially condensed
in Gas / Gas Exchanger, by heat exchanger with cool residue gas. The second
portion of the inlet is cooled in the Gas / Liquid Exchanger, by flashed liquid
from Warm Separator and by a portion of the Absorber bottoms liquid
flowing from Absorber Bottoms Pump. The cooled inlet streams then
recombine as cooled feed gas stream which flows to Warm Separator, where
the condensed liquid is separated. The vapor from the Warm Separator flows
to Turbo-Expander, where it is work expanded to approximately the operating
pressure of Absorber. The partially condensed, expanded stream then flows
to a bottom feed point on the Absorber. The liquid from the bottom of the
Absorber is pumped and divided via temperature control into two streams.
One portion flows to the Gas / Liquid Exchanger, where it is heated as it
provides partial cooling of the feed gas stream. The remaining portion
combines with the warmed portion and the combined stream flows as top feed
to the Deethanizer.

The uncondensed vapors in the Absorber top feed combine with the
uncondensed vapors rising from the fractionation zone in the Absorber to
form the cold residue gas. This stream is first warmed in Reflux Condenser,
as it provides cooling and partial condensation of the Deethanizer overhead.
The partially warmed residue gas stream then flows to Gas / Gas Exchanger,
where it is warmed as it provides cooling of the dry inlet gas stream. The
warmed residue gas portions flows to the Booster Compressor, driven by
Expander.

PS6007: LNG PLANT

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The process involves 3 cycles in cascade, using a pure refrigerant in each of
the cycles. Refrigeration cycles include Propane Cycle, Ethylene cycle and
Methane cycle. Natural Gas is compressed in NG Compressor and then cooled
in two stages with Cooling Water and Propane Refrigeration cycle. Cooled NG
is liquefied under pressure in NG Condenser using Ethylene Refrigeration
cycle. Liquefied NG is sub-cooled in LNG cooler using Methane Refrigeration
cycle. Sub-cooled LNG is flashed in LNG Flash Drum to separate Fuel Gas.
LNG from the bottom of LNG Flash Drum is sent to Storage. Propane after
compression in Propane compressor is condensed in Propane condenser using
Cooling Water. Vaporization of Propane cools the Natural Gas and condenses
Ethylene. Vaporization of Ethylene liquefies Natural Gas and condenses
Methane. Vaporization of Methane Sub-cools LNG from NG Condenser.
