Basic Function and Scope:


Monitors and coordinates the designated operation and ensuring safe and efficient
operations. Includes maintaining continuous contact with various areas of the entire Plant to keep
them informed of overall operating conditions. The designated operations include LPG Train,
SGS, Condensate Stabilization, Inlet Receiving/Storage and Loading, Utilities, Monitors via
terminals and alarms, the operations of the designated area and coordinates process activities
according to Instructions received and production requirements. Includes continuous monitoring
of instruments and equipment, making field adjustments according to process parameters as
required, Communicates with the Panel Operator of other areas to coordinate operations that may
affect the operation and/or production of any unit within the Plant. Determines developing trends
in operating conditions, reporting significant changes and initiating action as required.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs,
and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in
Management Systems Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents. Carries out similar
or related duties such as assisting in maintaining shift log; initiating emergency procedures as
required and complying with safety rules and regulations.

OIL FIELD EXPERIENCE

Wellhead Operations:

Operation of X-Mas tree (CAMERON, FMC, CAMCO & BHEL), Actuator operated
Master valve and Wing valve, SSSV,SSV annulus pressure bleeding operation, Panel Board
Operations (BAKER, OTIS, WILMAX & FRAMES), Flow line choke changing and adjusting,
Flow line PSL & PSH switches, FTHP well equalizing, Gas lift wells, water & Steam injection
wells, Test Separator handling, Well Testing, BDV panel operation, Orifice changing in the flow
lines (Oil, Gas, & Water / DANIEL), Flow and pressure recording isolation and hand over the
wells for Well Services. Operating Knowledge of Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) for maintaining
pressure in HP, MP and LP Hydraulic Pressure Lines for operating the Sub Sea valves.

Well Testing:
Flowing the well through various sizes of chokes through Test Manifold and diverting the
well into the Test Separator for finding individual performance of well, operating & normalizing
with different size of orifice plate to measure the quantity of gas. Oil & water rate is measured by
Flow Transmitters. Taking Routine Sampling to find the BS&W, API and Salinity in Crude.

Oil Processing:
Familiar with Operation Off HP, IP (MP), LP, Test Separators (Two/Three Phase),
Produced Water Vessels, Electro Static Treater (De salination), Crude/Heating Medium Heat
Exchangers, Crude/Crude Heat Exchangers, Booster pumps, Formation Water Disposal
Pump, chemical injection(Demulsifier, Corrosion Inhibitor(OCI & GCI), MEG &
Methanol, Desalting Crude through electric desalter, Gas/Oil line pigging operations, and
Routine Lab sampling (oil, Formation Water & gas).

Storage Tank operations, Produced Water Tank, preparation of daily production


reports (Gas, Oil & Water),Knock Out Drums, Operation off SDV, BDV, PSV, Control Valves
like PCV, LCV, FCV, TCV, Pig Launching and Receiving, Adjusting the Set points off all
control valves for smooth operation off plant from panel. Test Run for the standby equipment
as per the Schedule, isolations and de-isolation of equipment for Maintenance, familiar
with Work Permit Systems, gas testing, Mech. & Elect. Isolation procedures and co-
ordination with the Maintenance crew.

Central Processing Facilities & Tank Farm:

Receiving crude from different gathering stations and re process it so as to obtain water
free crude and send it to marine terminal for shipment. Dehydration tank, produced water tank,
skim tank, crude storage tank, and emulsion treatment by electrostatic heater treater, heat
exchanger. To maintain proper dozing of chemical such as PPD, reverse demulsifier, demulsifier,
and biocide and corrosion inhibitor. Operation and control of floating roof tank (20000 M 3) and
fixed roof tank (9000 M3). This includes routine draining of condensate, daily sampling of crude
for BS&W test. And periodic manual dip by dip tape and weekly stock check and keeping record
of the material shipped out from the tank on daily basis. And to maintain standard tank
temperature. Taking important parameters of the shipment pump on hourly basis

GAS FIELD EXPERIENCE (Offshore & Onshore)


Gas Compression Unit

Elliot Booster Centrifugal (Single Stage):52945 Nm3/h.

Siemens Centrifugal (Two Process Stage) Driven by SGT Siemens Gas Turbine: MP Capacity (52421
Nm3/h), HP Compressor –Two Train Each (232000 Nm3/h)

Start up Operation of Elliot (Motor Driven) & SIEMENS COMPRESSOR Driven by GAS
TURBINE from Triconex panel and ABB Panel. Compressor Antisurge control and pressure control,
Performance Controller. Familiar with Gas Compression Unit and is used to compress the gas to get the
designed pressure for easy export and to Gas Injection into wells designed for that. Familiar with Two
Stage Man Turbo Screw Compressors, Coolers, Lube Oil Circulation, Scrubbers, 1st, 2 nd and 3rd stage
gas scrubbers, 1st, 2nd, 3rd stage coolers etc.

Acid gas enrichment unit (Amine Gas)

Gas Absorber out let off gas capacity 42114Nm3/hr & H2S content 250 to 400 ppmv.Generation
column with shall nap in valve and chimney tray type. Regeneration column Total 18 no’s of trays & 4
Number of wash water trays. Lean solvent & Rich solvent circulation pumps. High pressure reboliers &
Reflux Drum and Reflux Low head Low pressure pump. Plate & frame type heat exchangers
&Activecarbon, Guard & Cartridge filters. MDEA solvent storage tank & solvent pump. Acid gas Flare
system. Anti-foam & phosphoric acid dosing system.

Sulfur recovery unit capacity (800 tones/Day (Jacob’s Claus process)):

SRU Designed to recover the sulfur of the Acid gas feed with a minimum recovery of
99.0%.SRU Acid gas feed 45.000Nm3/hr that expected to contain up to 52.4 mole%H2S.The
design intent of degassing system is to degas the produced liquid sulfur to 10 ppm wt H2S)  .

Air Blower 65000Nm3/hr. (Howden process compressor) & Acid gas condensate pump.  
Combustion Air/Acid gas preheaters. Main Burner (Duiker LMV 1900 System), Reaction
furnace.    Advanced Burner control system (ABC).    Boiler feed water system, Waste heat
Boiler & H.P steam Network system. Steam condensate H.P & L.P Flash drum system. Boiler
feed water dosing system.   Sulfur Reheaters, Vent condensers, Acid gas flare system.    Three
stages Claus & one stage super Claus Reactor (Dutch development).      Super Claus reactor
selective oxidation (selox) Air control system.  Super Claus sulfur condenser, Boiler feed water
condenser. Sulfur coalescer. Sulfur Degassing contactors, IA receiver. Incinerator Air Blower,
Thermal incinerator (oxidizer).   Sulfur storage vessel & Rundown assembly Condenser to sulfur
pit.

Gas Dehydration unit (Triethyline Glycol):


Natural Gas Dehydration (8 trays), Coaleser filter, Glycol Contactor, Glycol flash drum,
Cartridge type filter operation, Lean/ Rich Glycol Contactor, Glycol flash drum, Charcoal,
Lean / Rich Glycol Heat Exchanger, Glycol /Gas Heat Exchanger, All filter changing, Glycol
Regeneration, Still Column, Glycol pumping, Tank Level, Dew point maintaining Pre & super
Heater are for fuel gas. Maintain the Reboiler Temperature (170 c). Fuel gas, stripping gas, pilot
gas & Blanket gas Supply.

Water & Gas Injection:

Inject high pressure Dehydrated gas into well reservoir. Operation and
maintenance of multistage gas compressor, Knock out Drums, Inter & after coolers,
Separators, Start up & shutdown operations of compressor .Operating and monitoring
the complete water injection system, high pressure (Reciprocating) injection
pumps, capacity of 15,000 bbls/day injection well head operations and water
sampling, etc.

Condensate Stabilisation :

Having experience of handling MP Separator control, Stabiliser Coalescer, Condensate


Stabiliser, Stabiliser Reboiler, Stabiliser Pressure Control, Condensate RVP and Butane Control,
Condensate Rundown, Condensate Closed Drain Drum and Condensate Rerun Drum.

Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning & Start-Up Experience (FPSO, OIL & GAS Complex)

Pre-commissioning activities which includes P&ID walk through checks, Air Blowing,
Hydro testing, Reinstatement, Leak testing using N2 & Fuel Gas, Preparing Punch List according
to P&ID, Vessel inspection and Preservation of equipment (Drying out & inerting the system).

Commissioning and Start-up activities like Performance testing of rotary equipment &
Functional tests of various equipment, Simulation Checks for Inter-locks / shut down logics,
stroke checking of control valves, Transmitters and switches, Gas Detectors, Fire water loop
checking & Foam and Deluge systems in co-ordination with Instrument personnel, Lining up of
utility systems and Process modules for start-up .Fire/Gas Panel and Safety matrix (ESD & PSD
panel) functioning checks. Handle total responsibility of control logic checks & loop test of oil
/gas facilities.

Utility Operation:

Operation, control, startup, shut down and line up procedure for different type of centrifugal,
reciprocating, rotary and diaphragm pump. Chemical injection pumps, potable water, N2, Instrument air
unit, fuel gas system. Utility air compressor line up and start up. Also having good knowledge of raw
water plant, waste water plant. And also safe guard all the rotating equipment by frequent check and
maintaining the record of all the important parameters.

Safety:

Conducting Tool Box Talks, Wearing PPE as required, and Handling Materials as per Materials Safety
Data Sheet (MSDS). Operation and testing (Wet & Dry) of Deluge System (Foam and water Deluge),
Manual Activated Call Points (MAC), operating Fire Monitors, Fire Hydrants, all type of portable Fire
Extinguishers (CO2, Dry Chemical Powder, Foam), Portable Gas detectors, Fire Detectors, Smoke
Detectors, Testing off Fire Water Pump
