Star Per, formerly called Star Up, is an airline based at Jorge Chvez Internationa
l Airport in Lima, Peru. It is a scheduled airline operating passenger and cargo
flights within Peru. The carrier only flies domestic routes in Peru, and one sh
ort international flight to the Brazilian Amazon, from its base in Lima.

History
The airline was established in May 1997 as Servicio de Transporte Areo Regional b
y the chief executive, Valentin Kasyanov. Operations were inaugurated with a sin
gle Antonov An-32 aircraft flying cargo and charter services around South Americ
a.[1]
In late 2004, Star Per began scheduled commercial domestic flights after having a
cquired a Boeing 737-200.[2] Based on monthly growth of passenger traffic, Star
Per was the fastest growing airline in Peru in 2005.[1]
