Description of scene: The scene is just the outside of the building and the sign which says Police station.

Suitability of location:
Lighting: The lighting is all natural light as it is outside, obviously the lighting will be brighter if
the weather is better. This isnt too much of a problem as the shot should be natural light as it
is obvious to the audience that it is outside. Therefore I will not be adding extra lighting.
Noise level: The noise level could be quite loud as there is a main road next to the station. I
would need to film on a slightly quieter day as there will be a voice over so there shouldnt be
too much noise in the background.
Potential hazards: Hazards include: tripping over something on the floor, bumping into
someone on the street or worst case scenario falling into the road and getting hit by a car.
Overall suitability: The overall suitability is good as the noisy and busy surroundings fits well
with the thriller genre, also there is a lot of space around the building to film and move
around. I can easily get to the location as it can be on my way home from school.

Description of scene: There will be a few scenes shot in Queensbury school in the common room, a lot of
the detectives parts are in the common room and a few of the psychiatrists parts are in there too. These
include close-ups and medium shots mainly.

Suitability of location:
Lighting: The lighting in the common room has lights and there are lots of large windows
which create a large amount of natural light too. The room I am in needs to be very bright for
my scene therefore depending on the day, I may be including some additional lighting too just
to make sure it is as bright as I need it.
Noise level: The noise level of the common room varies as it could be full of people or it could
be completely empty, it depends on the day you catch it on. For my scene the room needs to
be dead silent and only the sound of the actors voices need to be heard therefore I will need
to film during lesson time when the room is empty.
Potential hazards: Potential hazards include: walking into someone and hurting yourself or
them, you could trip over a chair and that could injure you or someone else.
Overall suitability: The overall suitability is good as the spacious room is perfect for what I
want and it works well with the thriller genre, There is a lot of room for me to film I would just
have to move a few tables and chairs out of the way. I can access the location easily as it is my
school and I a there at some point every day Monday-Friday.

Description of scene: The scene I will be filming will be filmed in my living room, it is a close up of one of the
characters Kenneth. Not a lot of the background will be in the footage .

Suitability of location:
Lighting: The lighting of the room is quite dark the main lights arent very bright. This is
suitable for filming as the character is seen as quite a dark character so this type of lighting will
reflect his personality well. As well as that, the scene is a memory. I will not be adding
additional lighting.
Noise level: The noise level can be quite noisy at times as younger children do live there, this
will not be suitable for filming as I need dead silence. But there will be times when the children
are not there so I can film what I need to therefore it is possible to film the scene to the
standard that I need.
Potential hazards: There are a couple of potential hazards in the house. One could be that you
could trip over things that may be in the way, or things that were placed somewhere you were
unaware of. Above where the actor will be sitting, there are shelves which have photos on
them therefore, this could be hazardous as the photos could potentially fall down onto the
actor.
Overall suitability: The location is definitely suitable for my scene. It fits well with the thriller
genre which is what I want. There is enough space for me to film there and enough space to
walk around and move things if I needed to. Also the location is perfectly accessible as I live
there so there will be no trouble getting there.
