SENIORS

If you completed the on-line application for Reedley College/Fresno City College; you will be
receiving an email from SCCCD (State Center Community College District) with instructions
that you will need to follow for completing the On-line orientation, DO NOT DELETE! The
on-line orientation is open. PLEASE check your email daily. Email is the #1 form of
communication that colleges use. Any questions or if you need help see Ms. Loving.

JUNIOR/SENIOR
PRIVILEGE CARD

Junior/Senior privilege card applications are available in the student office. If you were a
first semester card holder, YOU MUST REAPPLY. Applications are due on Friday, January
16th by 3:30. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Bonilla.

ALL STUDENTS

Spring Musical - When Seymour buys a strange and interesting plant, little does he know
that it has a mind of its own. He names it Audrey 2 after his co-worker, but she is
preoccupied with her sadistic dentist boyfriend. Meanwhile Audrey 2 has plans far greater
and more terrifying than anyone can possibly imagine. Auditions for Little Shop of Horrors
will be January 16th at 5pm in the library! Fill out the application online at

phone is confiscated; A Parent/guardian must come to Selma High to pick up the item. No

SENIORS

Attention all seniors: If you have a sibling that comes to this school and would like to be in
the Senior Siblings section of the yearbook, please stop by the yearbook table in the quad
today, January 14th and Thursday, January 15th during lunch to sign up to have your picture
taken. The spots in the book are on a first-come, first-served basis so sign up ASAP and
dont miss out!

Attention Hispanics In Action students if you still need to turn in money from our snack pack
fundraiser last month please see Ms. Vzquez in room 409. If your money is not received by
this Friday, January 16th, your name will be placed on the debt list!!!

BIGS PROGRAM

All Bigs students should plan to attend their school site this week either at Garfield or
Roosevelt.

SCHOOL SERVICE
PROJECT

Selma High would like to start donations as well as fundraising to support the Escobar Loza
children, affected by the recent tragedy. We would also like to provide assistance to Jose
Valencia, a Kingsburg Football player who was recently diagnosed with a severe form of
bone cancer.
Instead of our annual Pennies for Patients drive, Selma High will turn its focus on raising
funds to help these children. Donation boxes will be placed in all 4th period classes
throughout the month of January. Local businesses will be partnering up with Selma High
and will have their own donation boxes in their stores too. 75 % of all donations will be
given to the Escobar Loza family and 25% will go to benefit Jose Valencia and his fight with
cancer.
In addition to donation boxes, we will also hold raffles during half time at the basketball
games. You can also help by bringing in any new or lightly used childrens clothing in youth
sizes: newborn, 3T and youth 5 to the student store. We would appreciate any help that
can be given to the two families. Lets show that Selma Bears truly care about our
community and those in need. Thank you for your support.

DRESSCODE
VIOLATIONS

Please be respectful of the Selma High School Rules. All collegiate and professional sport
attire is not allowed to be worn, that also includes Fresno State. The dress code is strictly
enforced and if dress code is violated Saturday school will be given to the student.

SENIOR TRIP
PAYMENT

The next $50 payment for your senior trip is due on January 30. Be sure to keep up with
your payment plan so you dont have to worry about a big balance at the end. All payments
can be made to Gina Gonzalez in the finance office.

represent your class at the upcoming Winter Rally on January 30th.

WINTER RALLY

Get ready to bring your class spirit on January 30 at our Winter Rally in the gym. We will
be highlighting our Winter Sports teams as they get ready to take on CVC that evening.

up yours today while they last. Sizes are limited.

SATURDAY SCHOOL There will be school this Saturday, January 17th. Please attend if you are scheduled.

RISING GENERATION

WINTER FORMAL

The class of 2017 is proud to invite you to Winter Wonderland 2015. Tickets for this Winter
Formal will go on sale on Friday, January 16, 2015 at lunch. Ticket prices are $20 w/ ASB,
$25 w/ ID, and $30 for all approved guests. Students must be academically eligible and
free of debt before purchasing a ticket. Tickets are nonrefundable and
nontransferable. Freestyle Entertainment will be sure to bring out the magic to this Winter
Wonderland on Saturday, January 24 from 8-11pm in the SHS Dining Hall. Maxwell Studios
will provide professional picture package sessions at an additional charge. Buy your tickets
early and beat the long lines. You dont want to miss special Winter Wonderland event!
