SENIORS

If you completed the on-line application for Reedley College/Fresno City College; you will be
receiving an email from SCCCD (State Center Community College District) with instructions
that you will need to follow for completing the On-line orientation, DO NOT DELETE! The
on-line orientation is open. PLEASE check your email daily. Email is the #1 form of
communication that colleges use. Any questions or if you need help see Ms. Loving.

IPODS

Please be respectful of the NO cell phone & IPOD rule from 8 AM 3:30 PM. If your cell
phone is confiscated; A Parent/guardian must come to Selma High to pick up the item. No
excuses. Please be respectful of the Selma High School Rules.

SCHOOL SERVICE
PROJECT

Dont forget to continue to donate to the Pennies for Patients for Jose Valencia Drive
in your 4th period classes through the month of January.
In addition to donation boxes, we will also hold raffles during half time at the basketball
games. You can also help by bringing in any new or lightly used childrens clothing in youth
sizes: newborn, 3T and youth 5 to the student store. Lets show that Selma Bears truly care
about our community and those in need. Thank you for your support.

On Thursday, January 22, 2015, CSF is going to give away hot chocolate and cookies to everyone who
comes by room 1501 during lunch to donate clothing and/or money for the Pennies for Patients Jose
Valencia Drive!! Current and future CSF Members are encouraged to donate on that day to show
support for our schools community service effort.

DRESSCODE
VIOLATIONS

Please be respectful of the Selma High School Rules. All collegiate and professional sport
attire is not allowed to be worn, that also includes Fresno State. The dress code is strictly
enforced and if dress code is violated Saturday school will be given to the student.

DONATION
DANCE

On Friday, January 30 from 9-11pm in the Dining Hall we will host a donation dance where
all money collected at the door will be added to our Pennies for Patients/ Jose Valencia
Drive. The dance will be called the 5 Dolla Holla Dance. The cost is $5 for everyone,
even those with ASB cards. Guest passes for this dance are due Wednesday, Jan. 28. And
again, the cost is $5 for ASB, ID, and approved guests.

SENIOR TRIP
PAYMENT

The next $50 payment for your senior trip is due on January 30. Be sure to keep up with
your payment plan so you dont have to worry about a big balance at the end. All payments
can be made to Gina Gonzalez in the finance office.

CLASS SHIRT
CLEARANCE

Class shirts are now on sale for just $8. Buy yours today in room 1005 and be ready to
represent your class at the upcoming Winter Rally on January 30th.

WINTER RALLY

Get ready to bring your class spirit on January 30 at our Winter Rally in the gym. We will
be highlighting our Winter Sports teams as they get ready to take on CVC that evening.

SENIOR
SWEATSHIRTS

There are a few extra senior sweatshirts for sale in room 1005 for $42. Come by and pick
up yours today while they last. Sizes are limited.

SENIOR SNACK
PACK

The 2nd senior snack pack sale is going on now. Earn money towards your senior trip.
Pick up your box today with Ms. Loving in room 1002.

CREDIT RECOVERY

There will be a Credit Recovery meeting on Wed., Jan 21st at 3:30 in the Library Computer
Lab. Rememberseats are limited so make sure you attend to claim your spot!

INTERESTED IN
DIVING?

There will be a meeting in Coach Loucks room 606 TODAY at lunch. Please come by room
606 to sign up if youre interested in being a diver for BEAR NATION. This is a new event,
and Coach Loucks is waiting for your arrival!

SENIOR CLASS
MEETING

Mandatory Senior class meeting on Thursday, Jan. 22 during 4th period in the gym.
(Important Grad &Scholarship Info) All seniors must check in with their 4th period class and
then head to the gym.

WINTER FORMAL

The class of 2017 is proud to invite you to Winter Wonderland 2015. Tickets for this Winter
Formal will go on sale on Friday, January 16, 2015 at lunch. Ticket prices are $20 w/ ASB,
$25 w/ ID, and $30 for all approved guests. Students must be academically eligible and
free of debt before purchasing a ticket. Tickets are nonrefundable and
nontransferable. Freestyle Entertainment will be sure to bring out the magic to this Winter
Wonderland on Saturday, January 24 from 8-11pm in the SHS Dining Hall. Maxwell Studios
will provide professional picture package sessions at an additional charge. Buy your tickets
early and beat the long lines. You dont want to miss special Winter Wonderland event!

SWIMMERS/
DIVERS

Attention Swimmers & Divers: The swim suit try on date is Wednesday, January 21st at
3:45. Please see Mrs. Manter ASAP to pick up an order form. This will be the only day to
try on and order suits!

REEDELY COLLEGE The application deadline for the Honors Program at Reedley College is: February 1st for the
HONORS PROGRAM early application deadline. March 1ST is the regular deadline.
PRIVILEGE CARD

If you applied for a privilege card and marked that you are allowed to transport other
privilege card holders you MUST attach a copy of your drivers license and insurance. If this
was not attached you will not be able to transport other privilege card holders. Please see
Ms. Bonilla if you have any questions.

This year there is a new web address for the parent portal. New address for the 2014/15

MUSIC SUGGESTION The music suggestion box is back. At this time we need student suggestions of music
BOX
that you want to hear at future dances. (Remember, suggestions should be appropriate for
a school dance) The Winter Formal & Donation Dance is coming at the end of January get
your suggestions in so they can be played for the dances. The music suggestion box will be
located by Room 1005.

ALL STUDENTS

Attention All Students: The theatre after-school class is proud to announce its production of
Why Do We Laugh? Your fellow Selma High school students will be performing this 35
minute one-act production about a couples journey from childhood to adulthood. Please
join us at the Selma Arts Center on Thursday, January 22nd, with two showings at 6:00 and
7:30 P.M. It is free admission, and we hope to see you there!
