Coconut is considered one of the most useful trees in the world it is often
referred to as the tree of life. One of the most useful products from a coconut tree
is its oil. Coconut oil has broad-spectrum antiseptic properties that result to a
moisturizer which simultaneously prevent dry skin. Applying topicallyhelps from a
chemical barrier on the skin to ward off infections. Reduces symptoms
associated with psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. Coconut oil is non-toxic to
humans, as it contains lauric acid, which is also found in mothers milk.
According to Vermen M. Vellaro-Rowell, M.D., coconut oil creates
healthier cell membrane, saturated, has no double bounds, andfor this reason
therefore more stable and is not readily oxidized. It also reduced the reddening
reaction and the number of sunburned cells.
The proponents made a proposed study on coconut oil as a deodorant, it
is not just safe to use, but also it can help whitens the underarm skin and
prevents odor. If this study is proven to be viable and is implemented, the
problem regarding the jeopardy and odor of underarm using deodorants can be
avoided.

The study aimed for determining the feasibility of The Proposed Production and
Distribution of Coconut Oil Deodorant. This study was also made accurately to
answer the following questions:
1. Is the proposed production and distribution of Coconut Oil Deodorant
feasible in the aspects of:
1.1 Technical
1.2 Marketing
1.3 Management
1.4 Legal & Taxation
1.5 Financing
1.6 Financial
1.7 Socio- Economic Desirability
1.8 SWOT
2. Based on the findings, what recommendations may be proposed for this
project?

Government
The government may look into this study in hopes of promoting Filipino
Industry. The production of the proposed merchandise utilizes supplies that are
abundant in the Philippines. They may use this study for livelihood programs for
the poor.
Educational Institutions
The university will not only gain prestige from this work being recognized,
but it also serves as another approach in training students and enhance the
system of teaching in professors
Philippine Industry and Community
The industries and the people living in the community work hand in hand
to build the Philippine economy. This study resorts to using locally found
materials, and production of such will be inexpensive.
Future Researchers
The study will serve as a guide for them in making and formulating a study
in the future that is well organized. In addition, it will give them an idea to make a
parallel or comparative study on the services offered by any company.

The respondents are high school students in Tejero Night High School,
Ramon Duterte National High School and Don Sergio Osmea, Sr. Memorial
High School with a population of 1249, 2638, and 1819 respectively. Using the
Slovens formula, there are 374 respondents as presented in Table 1 below

DEFINITION OF TERMS
So that to be familiar with the main terms being used in the study, the
proponents clearly defined the following words according on how they are
applied in the study so that to simplify in comprehending the problem and steer
clear of vague meanings of terminologies that can be in any other way construed
in distinct ways.

Adolescence
A stage in life starting from puberty towards adulthood (approximately
ages 12-20) indicated by striking bodily changes, increase in sexual feelings,
identity crisis, and a headway from concrete to abstract thinking.
Aluminum Chlorohydrate
It is a cluster of particular aluminum salts containing the general chemical
make-up of
deodorants.
Apocrine glands
These are also known as sweat glands(sudoriferous or sudoriparous
glands). These glands in the skin are mostly limited in the armpits, the groin, and
the area around the nipples of the breast. Secretions usually have an odor for the
fact that, apocrine glands are scent glands.
Alzheimers disease
It is a degenerative and progressive neurological disorder where it targets the
brain cells causing loss of memory and cognitive decline.
Bacteria
Single-celled microbes that are able to live either as self-sufficient (freeliving) organisms or as parasites (relying on another organism life).

Baking soda
A white powder, sodium bicarbonate, NaHCO, used as a leavening agent,
antacid and mouthwash, and in fire extinguishers; is also a naturally-occurring
substance that absorbs odors.
Body Odor
A stench created after sweating. Body odor takes place when the residing
skin bacteria contacts perspiration. Perspiration alone is practically odorless, but
the mixture of perspiration with bacteria on the skin can generate an unpleasant
smell.
By-Product
It
can
be
described
as
the
amount
produced
from
combined
manufacturing process that is trivial in capacity and/or net realizable at the time
compared to the most important products. Because they are believed to possess
no bearing on disclosed financial conclusions, by-products do not gain
apportionment of joint costs. They also are by convention and are not
inventoried, but the net realizable value from by-products is usually accepted as
other income or as a cutback of joint manufacturing processing expenses when
the by-product is created. A by-product can be functional and saleable or it can
be regarded as waste.

Coconut oil
A pale yellow to colorless oil or a white semisolid fat acquired from the
coconut meat, generally utilized in food products and also in making soaps and
cosmetics. Because of its high saturated fat content, its oxidation is low and
therefore, impervious to acidification, with a shelf life of two years.
Cornstarch
Corn processed into fine powder and is usually utilized in culinary where it
thickens liquids.
Hygiene
Routines or conditions encouraging the maintenance of
health and
Lauric Acid
[molecular formula of : C 12 H 24 O 2] A fatty acid existing as a
glyceride in various vegetable fats, particularly coconut oil and laurel oil utilized
mainly in the production of detergents, cosmetics, soaps, and lauryl alcohol.
[molecular formula of : C 12 H 24 O 2] appearing as a form of white,
crystalline, water-insoluble powder.

Oxidize
Is the breaking up of electrons in the course of a reaction by a molecule,
atom or ion. Oxidation arises when the oxidation state of a molecule, atom or ion
is increased. A prior connotation of oxidation was when "oxygen is joined to a
compound".
Poloxamer
It is a non-ionic triblock copolymers that make up the central hydrophobic
chain of polyoxypropylene sided by two hydrophilic chains of polyoxyethylene.
Talc
An incredibly soft mineral that is a basic silicate of magnesium, is
saponaceous to the touch, and is utilized particularly in production of talcum
powder.
Toxins
An antigenic toxin of animal or of botanical element, chiefly that is created
by or derived from microbes and triggering sickness when present at low
concentration in the body.
