Lyndon Green Junior School

Thank you to everyone for supporting Comic Relief. We

know we can rely on our community to support and help
and today you clearly have. We are all aware of the
amazing work that Comic Relief does and our small part
will allow this to continue. Thank you everyone!
Assembly
When an assembly starts with Pink Floyds The Wall, as a
HT you start to panic a little, but today we were treated to
a super class assembly from Class 5J. Thank you to
everyone that came, your support for your children is
amazing. They taught us so much that today we can be
truly proud.
Music Concert
Every year we are treated to a special concert from the
children that have violin lessons. Last nights concert,
based in the Infants this year, was no exception. The vast
majority of violinists are all Junior based and both
singularly and collectively they made a wonderful sound.
It is down to their hard work and determination that they
achieve such success. We will continue to ensure that all
our music provision (woodwind, brass and strings,
including violins and cellos) continues to be freely
available so that the talent can really flourish.

Sporting News
Super football news from last Friday, where the boys
managed to finish a superb 6th out of 152 schools. A
great achievement by everyone.
Cross country continues to show how determined our
children are no matter where they finish. Next week is the
final race of the year. Hope as many of you as possible
can attend.
Advance Notices
Year 6 - Look out for a letter coming home on Monday
about a SATs meeting on Wednesday 25th. There will be
an opportunity to attend a meeting at 9.00 or 6.00. This
will inform you about what the children will be
experiencing when they sit their tests in May.
Easter themed lunch - Also on Wednesday 25th March.
This can be booked at the usual cost of 2.05
Easter Service (Children only, sadly) will take place in
school on Wednesday 25th March. (seems to be a very
busy day)
Break up - We break up for the Easter holidays on 27th
March. Children return on the 14th April
