from? (Looking at the animals and Mokele anxiously)
MOKELE. I am Mokele. I came from the Land of Tumba, and these animals are
my friends.
CHIEF MOKULAKA. I see. Thats a very far place. I believe youve had a very
long journey.
MOKELE. Yes, Chief Mokulaka. And I came this far with a wish.
CHIEF MOKULAKA. What is it, young man? (frowning)
MOKELE. I heard that you have the sun. May I please buy the sun from you?

CHIEF MOKULAKA. (glancing at the animals) Very well. But Ill have to talk to
my son to decide on a fair price. Why dont you go and rest for a while?

CHIEF MOKULAKA. Mokele, the son of Chief Wai from Land of Tumba has come
to take away our sun. We have to stop him!
MOLUMBA. Really, father? I will not let that evil man do that to our precious
land! (angry) What will it be without
MOLUMBA. Of course, father! You know how much I love you and our land. Id
do anything to stop this villain!
CHIEF MOKULAKA. Okay. I want you to kill this man. Brew up some poison and
give it to him. Do anything as long as you get him to drink the poison.
MOLUMBA. Alright, father. I will do it by tonight.
CHIEF MOKULAKA. Thank you, Molumba. Youre my hope.
MOLUMBA. Dont mention it, father. You know you can count on me.

MOKELE. Calm down, bee. Calm down. What is it? Tell me slowly.

BEE. I just came from Chief Mokulakas house. And I overheard the Chiefs
conversation with his daughter.
MOKELE. What were they talking about?
OTHER ANIMALS. Yes, yes, what is it? (anticipating)
BEE. Chief Mokulaka wants to kill you. He wont let you have the sun. He had
asked his daughter to poison you tomorrow.
MOKELE. Really? Wow, this old man is very determined. He thinks he can
deceive me.
EAGLE. No, Mokele. He cant kill you. We will protect you!
TORTOISE. You have to be careful, Mokele.
BABOON. Yes, Mokele. I can kill this man if you want!
