Asking questions in the past

Look at these examplesWhat did you do yesterday?


Yesterday I played tennis.
Where did you go last week?
I went to London to see my friend.
What did you drink at the wedding?
I drank champagne at the wedding.
When we ask a question in the past we do not add ed
to the verb.
We use the verbs as a present simple verb.
Question words

What did you eat?

When
When did you leave?

Fill in the gaps and then ask another student these questions and write down
their answers.
What did you do last night?
Where did you______ on holiday last year?
What did you______for breakfast?
What time did you ____to bed last night?
What did you____at the weekend?

Extension- you have the answer but need to write the question.
Example- I went to bed at 10pm. Question- What time did you go to
bed last night?
________________________________________? I arrived at work at 9am.
_____________________________________? I visited my friend yesterday.
_____________________________________? I drank lemonade at the party.
_____________________________________? I got up at 6am yesterday.
