3. Presentation Excellence-

The Presentation Excellence Group has been sponsoring internships for over 25 years, serving over
500 interns from high schools, college and graduate schools, in the US and international. We seek
people who are smart, creative, excellent communicators and, most important, are self-starters - ready
to finish projects quickly so they can move on to the next one.

Our group focuses on serving leaders, often CEOs and business owners of companies, who want to
achieve greater success. For that reason we’re always engaged in business development: marketing,
sales and program creation. You will work on one major project most of the time, with some time
updating our database so we can reach the right people for our messages. Students learn by doing and
through osmosis - watching and hearing about other projects under way. The internship experience is
rich and rewarding.

The group ( represents a number of different brand/services
including:; presentation training and coaching services. (which is part of the leading CEO membership
organization serving 16,000 members in the 15 countries). We provide business owners/CEOs with
leader development services and are actively recruiting new members for our CEO group, Trusted
Advisors Group. We’re also trying to get our first client for Vistage Inside, a new service for the
executive team of a company; we’re offering leaders the opportunity to use this management tool which
helps companies increase alignment and performance. We’re offering it and Vistage Inside to the
same customers

This fall we’re working on a new organization: Our goal is to increase the
quantity and quality of internships offered by companies by offering on-line tools and support for
Corporate Mentor Coordinators and Mentors. . We’re putting the business plan together and seeking
corporate sponsors for the build-out. Some interns may work on this project.

We do not pay a salary or stipend to interns. Sometimes internships lead to freelance, part-time and fulltime jobs when we launch a service or new company. However, we make no promises or commitments.
We also have a commission/bonus program for telemarketing-appointment success appointments.
We require a minimum of 32-40 per week from summer interns and 16-20 hours during the fall and
spring terms.

At The Bloc Group our interns get a real feel for all aspects of the Marketing/Promotions world. Being a smaller
company they will be exposed to all levels of the industry from sending emails and receiving phone calls, to sitting
in on meetings and helping in creating an event. We manage a lot of different aspects of our business ourselves
which means as an intern you are part of the team, not someone who is just filing things all day long. The
internship requires students who are very professional and serious about learning an array of things in our industry.
Daily task include but are not limited to:
- Data-basing
- Maintaining and organizing our contact list
- Updating our websites including our Facebook, Twitter, and FourSquare
- Emailing our clients daily for events
...among many other things!

8. Resource Magazine-

We usually require 3 days a week and a 3 months commitment. Interns need to be fluent in English and bring their
own laptop. Here's some info about us: Resource Magazine is a quarterly print publication about the photo
production industry. We cover not just the latest camera and gear news but also the different people working on a
photo shoot (from the stylist to the studio manager). You can preview one of our issues for free on our site, which
will give you a better idea of what we do ( The magazine is free to the trade as we
place it in photo studios, labs, equipment rental companies across the country. We also recently launched our
online video platform, Resource Television or RETV (
The internship will focus on promoting these 2 companies through the following:
-maintaining social networks
-creating and implementing a PR/marketing campaign (looking for media partners, writing and sending press
releases, etc..)
-researching and expanding our potential advertisers database
-organizing events (budgeting, staffing, looking for sponsorships)
