The LIRR is replacing the Ellison Avenue

Bridge, which spans the LIRRs Main Line
tracks through the Village of Westbury.
All Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson Branch
trains pass under this bridge on a daily basis.
The majority of the bridge replacement work
is invisible to LIRR customers, with little or no
impact on train service. However, for safety

a 48-hour suspension of train service.
As a result, on the weekend of October 24-25,
there will be no train service on the
Main Line between Mineola and Hicksville.
Buses will replace some trains, and
other trains will be diverted.
