development of schizophrenia. The project involved significant research on the area and

In this position I was responsible for the conduction a short study into the effects of the illicit
drug para-methoxymethamphetamine, an analogue of the common street drug MDMA or
Ecstasy, on the cardiovascular and nervous systems in an in-vitro animal model. My research
was selected for oral presentation to the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland in the Watts
Medal competition.
