INTRODUCTION
Communication is a process of exchanging information or ideas.(Verbal or non-verbal).

Speaking and writing in effective communication reached in the field of business. Including
social position, management etc.In the business these is the big role of effective communication
to rise. The art or ability to speak and write well is sensitive in various cultural context. Effective
communication is very valued skill in business management or in other fields.
ROLE OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION IN BUSINESS
The art of communication has always advantages to those who has command it. Rich history of
communication and its tradition can still be seen in modern day communication concepts.
LIFE BLOOD OF ORGANIZATION
A group of people who work together for business in company is called organization. They
exchange their arrangement and proposals. Communication is the life blood of organization.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
The exchange of information within company or an organization for business is called internal
communication.it include upward, downward and horizontal.

Upward Communication
An employee share some ideas or give information to the managemenet is called upward
communication. The management without the upward communication can be fail because the
management has no information about the organizational problems from their employees.
Upward communication examples:

Sharing information
Sharing ideas
Company issues
Company affairs

Downward Communication

Role of effective communication in business management

Top management of organization give information to their employees that what to do, how to do
means what is the mission and policies.
Downward communication examples:

Give information.
Give instructions/orders.
Decisions.
Motivation.
Increase efficiency.
Get feedback from them.

Horizontal Communication / Literal Communication


Horizontal communication that the work will be done by the people which they have same
designation means the people have same rank which they work in an organization to cooperate or
collaborate.
Horizontal communication examples:

Teamwork
Boost efficiency
Solving problems
Completing tasks

EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION

In the external communication you are connected outside the organization with the customer or
client. It is very important to motivate your customer, you should use new ideas new policies
behavior with the customer to make a permanent customer, win the trust create desire encourage
collection, varieties and more efforts with oral or written as right letters, telephone calls, SMS,
proposals. Your effective communication with your customer can win back dissatisfied customer.

ELEMENTS OF COMMUNICATION
Effective communication is highly valued skill. Interchange of thoughts or opinions by
conference is called communication. When you consider that communication is realy effective
when you get positive response from the receiver.

Context
Oral or written begins with context. A company or organization has its own information. Context
actuate you to send the message. The source of actuate may be may be notes, e-mails, fax, letters,
call or meeting. Your response may be oral or written. First you think or encode opinions,
emotions, likes & dislikes, translate into a message.

Role of effective communication in business management

Sender-Encoder
Someone who send the oral or written message means you are the encoder. Message should be
graph or picture. A person who give the presentation its depend upon him that how he will send
the message to get the desired response.

Message
Message is the idea or information which is used to communicate. It consist of both verbal &
non-verbal communication. First think what do you want to say for example ideas, information
in your message & get the perfect response.

Medium
Medium depend upon the type of message. Message may be printed words, sound, E-mail etc.
medium makes a bridge or connection between sender and receiver. Its depend upon choice of
medium that what type of choice you want to use. If you need quick response, you will preferred
oral. If your message is long you will preferred written. Oral communication includes face to
face discussion, conference, telephone etc. written communication includes proposals, reports,
projects, contracts etc.

Receiver/Recipient-Decoder
Someone who receive the message also known as Decoder. Which decode your encoded
message. Messages are received by ears & eyes but act by non-verbal communication.

Feedback
Feedback can be oral or written, action is included in feedback such as receiving pizza you
ordered. Silence is the example of feedback. If ypur message or medium is not good or
ineffective you will get undesired response.

NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION

Communicate without words is called Non-Verbal Communication express ideas, feelings


precisely more than written or oral language.

ELEMENTS OF NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION

Gesture
Movement of body which express an idea or emotions through bodily movements to make a
gesture. For example A person wants to leave, he gestured his desire to leave.

Posture
A persons position in which the parts of body are prepared as a threatening attitude. Posture also
convey your health messages that you are tired or having fever etc.posture is very importnant in
business straight posture is the sign of confidence.

Facial Expression
Feelings of person shows on his face is called facial expression. It is important element of Nonverbal communication. Just your smile express that you are agree with a message which you
delivered.

Eye Contact
Communication of the eyes between two persons express your hidden emotions, surprise, anger,
fear, confusion and others is called eye caontact or visual communication.

Movement
Act or style of moving is called movement. For example A person is giving his presentation,
during the presentation his movement express the communication. If movement is effective the
presentation can be successful.

CONCLUSION

Role of effective communication in business management

Communication is a meeting between two or more persons (written or oral). It is valueable in all
fields. Effective communication helped to achieve the goal. In business management it is very
important to manage all elements of communication and the elements of non verbal
communication. The elements of communication with effective way can give you a desire
response if the message is effective. In the business management elements of non-verbal
communication are the necessary. Effective communication is the the life blood of every
organization, it plays important role in external and internal communication as in other words
inside and outside the organization, you can achieve your goal, if your upward and downward
communication in the organization is effective. To achieve the goals effective communication
were necessary, is necessary and will be necessary.
