PAPER 2 (SECTION B)

Diagram 3.1 shows a cradle with a baby in it is oscillating vertically.

Diagram 3.2 shows another identical cradle with a heavier baby in it is
oscillating vertically. It is observed that the cradle with a heavier mass baby
oscillates at a slower frequency.

The diagram below shows the condition of a car after an accident. The
injuries of the driver and the passengers depend on the impulsive force
produced during accident.

PAPER 2 (SECTION C)

Diagram 3.2

You are representing the school to bring a group of 35 students for a

competition in Kedah. Table 1 shows the characteristics of
four types of
school bus.

Based on the above information and observation,

(a)
state one suitable inference.
[1 mark]
(b)
(c)

Explain the design of safety features for cars based on the

impulsive force principle.
[10 marks]

state one suitable hypothesis.

[1 mark]
With the use of apparatus such as spring, slotted weight and other
apparatus, describe an experiment framework to test the hypothesis
stated in 3(b).
In your description, state clearly the following:
(i)
Aim of the experiment.
(ii)
Variables of the experiment.
(iii)
List of the apparatus and materials.
(iv)
Arrangement of the apparatus.
(v)
The procedures of the experiment which include the
method of controlling the manipulated variable and
measuring the responding variable.
(vi)
The way you would tabulate the data.
(vii)
The way you would analyze the data.
