Chapter: 4.

[Access restrictions]
Process:
When it comes to rules, PRS customers should be noted in particular, as very strict
restrictions on deliveries and/or collections may apply. For example the driver must
wear appropriate protective clothing, or the truck is not allowed to have any other
load carries on it. These restrictions/rules must be stored at the contact and passed
on to the haulier in the event of a movement

Test Case:

Created a New Location Rules and attaching the Location Rules with the
existing contact and New Contacts.
Tried attaching multiple Location Rules defined ,for One Contact.
Did a Duplicate entry for the Record already exist, to verify Validation Check
in Location Rules Card Page.
Tried attaching the Location Rules , which is already attached to Contact and
verified Validation Check in Contact Card.

Verdict:
Location Rules is working fine.

Chapter 4.9: Vehicles

Truck:
Process:
The management of vehicles is a useful extension for many areas of the system. It
can be used for finding the right haulier or defining access restrictions.
Load quantities may vary depending on the load carrier to be transported. This
information must be Stored accordingly.
The allocation of a vehicle to the various types of contacts will thus be evaluated
differently. For hauliers, in conjunction with the vehicle count, this corresponds to
the fleet. For customers or other types of delivery addresses, it is the definition of
access restrictions.

Test Case:

Created a New Truck, and attaching the same with existing contact and for
New contact Created.
Attaching Multiple Truck details for one Contact.
Did a duplicate entry for the Truck record already existing. To verify validation
check in Truck Card Page.
Tried attaching the Truck details, which is already attached to the Contact and
verified Validation Check for the same.

Creating a New Truck Record and tested for Field wise Validation Check in
Truck Card Page.
Created a Item List for the New Truck Record and check for validation in Truck
Item List Page.

Verdict:

Not Working Fine. Field Wise Validation Check is not working, when
creating a New Truck Record in Truck Card Page.
Not Working fine for Field Wise Validation check in Truck Item List Page.

Chapter 4.1.12: Movement Location

Movement Role:
Process:
Load carriers are transported from one place to another, which is part of the
business of Pooling Partners. Every location where load carriers are loaded or
unloaded, is also a contact.
The contacts therefore need to be classified according to their roles. This definition
allows the appropriate functions within the movements to be assigned a
corresponding contact.

Test Case:

Created a New Movement Role and attaching the same with New Contact and
Existing Contact.
Attaching Multiple Movement Role With One Contact.
Created a Duplicated Movement Role Entry which is already existing.
Tried Attaching the Movement Role Attached with the Contact, which is
already attached.
Created and deleted Movement Role Location entry , and checked the
Same ,whether it reflects in the Movement Role Fact Box in Contact Card.

Verdict:
Movement Role Location is working fine

Chapter 4.1.13 [Option of a Movement Location]

Process:
If a contact has been declared as a movement location, more detailed
configurations can be
made here
Example:
A contact is assigned the role 'Collection Point'. In the options you can also
specify whether he cooperates with Pooling Partners or not.

Test Case:
Created a New Movement Role Option and attached the same with Existing
contact and New Contact .

Tried attaching Multiple Movement Role Option to Movement Role Location of

a Contact.
Created a Duplicate Movement Role Option entry for already existing entry.
Created a New Movement Role entry and tried attaching the same with
Movement Role Location of a Contact.

Created and deleted a New Movement Role Option , to check whether it is

reflecting in the Movement Role Option Fact box in Movement Role Location
Page.

Verdict:
Movement Role Option is Working fine.

Chapter 4.1.14: [Capacity/ Warning Quantities]

Process:
For optimal planning and monitoring of movement locations, it is necessary to
define possible capacity and quantity warnings which trigger defined
workflows in the event of excesses or shortfalls.
The following quantities must be defined:
1

Maximum quantity

Minimum quantity

Reporting quantity

The values must be specified for each type of load carrier.

Test Case:
Created a New Capacity Quantities for warning linking the same with Contact.
Attaching Multiple Item created with Capacity Quantities for Contact.
Did a Duplicate entry of already created item of Capacity Quantities, for
checking validation.

Did a New entered for an item with capacity quantities and checked for field
Validation.

Verdict:
Capacity Quantities is not working fine. Filed Wise Validation Check is
missing.

Chapter 4.1.21: [Approved load carriers and

activities]
Process:
Especially in depots, it is possible that only certain load carriers (such as Euro
pallets) are accepted. This information must be managed in a system 'White
List'. In addition, certain activities such as repair (EPAL certified) may or may
not be executed.

Test Case:
Created a New Item Activity for a item with activity code and attaching the
same with a contact.
Created a New Activity Code in Activity List Page and attaching the same in
Item activity Page.
Did a Duplicate entry in Item Activity Page for already existing record, for
validation check.
Did a New entry for the Item Activity by selecting Activity code for existing
and new contact.
Did a Duplication entry in Activity Page for validation check.

Verdict:
Item Activity is working fine.

Chapter 4.6 [Lanes]

Process:
1

General

Lanes describe fixed routes between two movement locations or between two
zones.

Preferred hauliers

IPP UK also uses lanes to assign them to preferred hauliers. With this
information, the system is able to automatically select a haulier for a match
with this lane.

Each haulier's prices per lane are entered here. A scaled pricing can be
entered according to number of units (quantity of load carriers). It is also
important to specify a favoured haulier for each lane. Thus the favoured
haulier with its respective price can be displayed for the respective lane,
which is created by the joining of supply and release in the match.

Created a New Lane Card Info with separate Preferred Transporter .

Created a New Preferred transporter with priority .
Testing Calculate Lanes
Testing Lanes Location in map.
Newly created Preferred Transporter is Shown in Fact box and when
deleted , it gets deleted and reflects the same in Fact Box.
Did a Duplication entry for already existing record for validation check.
Created a New Lane record , for field validation check.

Verdict:
Not working Fine . Field wise validation check is missing.

Chapter 4.6 [Alternate Address]

Process :
The address data in these files do not always fully coincide with the stored
address of a contact. It is necessary to assign these addresses correctly in
order to link the movement data to the correct contact account numbers.

Verdict:
This Functionality is already available in Standard Navision 2015.

Chapter 4.1.3 Geo Data

Process :
The geographical relationship of addresses plays a major role, e.g. for
supplying customers with load carriers, therefore it is necessary to store the
geographic data of an address.
The geo-data for a newly entered address is determined asynchronously
using a background Service. This is based on Bing Maps, the online map
services by Microsoft.
Longitude and latitude of the input address is queried and stored. A
timestamp, also stored, indicates when the query was executed.

Geo Data Card

Test Case:

The Geo Data is calculated based on the Address and Show in Map
based on Proper Setup done, in Geo Add-ins Setup. Two Mandatory
Fields Locate Web Service URL and Locate Map Url needs to be
filled in.

The Contact with Full Address , Especially Mandatory Fields like Address, City,
Country needs to be filled in , in order to execute the function Calculate Geo
Data (fig-2 )and then Show on Map (fig-3)in Geo Data Card.
If any of the mandatory fields is missing, the validations are throwing error
and it is working fine.
This Calculate Geo Data function works with or without Longitude and
Latitude value.

Verdict:
Geo Data is not working Fine. Validation Check for Locate Map URL field is
missing.
