Call Letter for Interview for Admission to M.Des. Visual Design in the Dept. of Design at IIT Hyderabad

Dear Mr. Hari Mohan,

With reference to your application for admission to the M.Des Visual Design program starting in July
2015 in the Department of Design at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, please report for a
TEST &INTERVIEW on May 8-9, 2015 (by 9.00 AM)at the institute. The Interview will be preceded by a
screening test of Visual Design Aptitude.
You are required to bring your Portfolio of work in hard copy and the following documents are to be
produced by you in original at the time of Interview for verification:
(a) A print out of this call letter
(b) Degree / Diploma Certificates or provisional certificates from the competent authority of the
University or Institute concerned. In case of candidates whose final degree is awaited,
producing the mark sheets / grade card along with a provisional degree (or submission
certificate in case of candidates with Masters/M.Phil.) will be sufficient. However, if selected,
they have to produce the final degree certificate, for verification, at the time of admission;
(c) All Mark sheets/Grade Cards of your qualifying examinations (including UGC/GATE/CEED
certificates);
(d) OBC/SC/ST Certificate, if applicable;
(e) Publications, if applicable;
(f)
No objection certificate from the present employer, if applicable
(g) Original counterfoil of bank challan
You are also required to provide COPIES of all the above documents without fail. You are requested
to bring the following:

Kindly acknowledge the receipt of this letter and your confirmation for attending the test &interview

circumstance. Details of reaching IIT Hyderabad and on-campus accommodation are given below.

Reaching IIT Hyderabad: Candidates arriving at Secunderabad junction station may catch train to
Shankarpalli station which is roughly 6 km from IIT Hyderabad, Ordnance factory campus. Auto
rickshaws are available from Shankarpalli railway station to Ordnance factory (ODF). Also from
LingampalliMMTS, auto rickshaws are available up to the ODF campus. More information on direction
from various locations is given on our website (http://www.iith.ac.in/directions.html).

Boarding and Lodging Facilities: Depending upon availability, outstation candidates can avail oncampus accommodation with prior request. Accommodation, if available, will be provided only to
the candidate. Please send your request for accommodation at hostel@iith.ac.in.

Those who are unable to obtain on-campus accommodation are requested to explore guest
house/hotels in and around Isnapur, Pathancheru, Chandanagar, and Shankarpalli. These places are
within 25 km of IIT Hyderabad and connected by local transport to the institute.
