Parachute Routine

IT WAS A BUSY FRIDAY - The 13th at Tarkio High


School. The Tarkio basketball teams hosted Rock Port in
the Tarkio High School Gym. Before and during the games,
a number of activities took place. The Tarkio FFA Chapter
hosted a fish fry in the ag building. The senior basketball
players and their parents were honored before the games.
The Tarkio Elementary third graders performed the annual parachute routine. Local youth cheerleaders performed
cheers in front of a packed gym. Some of the high school cheerleaders performed a dance.

Tarkio High School FFA Chapter celebrates National FFA Week


THE TARKIO HIGH SCHOOL - FFA Chapter celebrated National FFA Week February 22 through March 1, 2015, by taking part in many different
activities all week long. The activities included a barn warming, attendance at two church services, school dress up days,
a delicious spaghetti dinner for local businesses and citizens who support FFA, Drive Your Tractor To School Day, an FFA
lunch, and a fun obstacle course for students and teachers during the 20X assembly. Some FFA members also worked the
elementary basketball tournament that weekend to help sell shirts for FFA.

Students celebrate
Dr. Seuss 111th birthday
THE CAT IN THE HAT - And two of its cohorts, Charles
Harper and Bill Clemente joined Tarkio Elementary students in celebrating Dr. Seuss 111th birthday on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Tarkio Elementary. The students
made their own hats and were read to by Harper and Clemente. The students also dined on green eggs and ham in the
cafeteria. Pictured with The Cat in the Hat above are, from

OLD GLORY - Waves in the wind once again at the Tarkio
City Ball Park. The flag was donated by the American Legion and Tim Morehouse donated his time and labor to erect
the flag pole on the south end of the field.

Celebrity Waiter Dinner raises


over $30,000 for CH-F
The Community Hospital-Fairfax (CH-F) Celebrity
Waiter Dinner was held on
Saturday evening, March
21, 2015, at the Fairfax
High School Gymnasium in
Fairfax, MO. Well over 750
guests, students, and celebrities were on hand to enjoy
entertainment provided by
local talent, dine on delicious food, and to raise funds
for the hospital. Due to the
generous donations of time
and money, an estimated
$31,000 was raised!
