The Nicola Watershed Community Round Table and the City of Merritt are jointly sponsoring and organizing a Water Festival to take place on June 8 at Rotary Park, 1-8pm. The Water Festival will include activities, displays and demonstrations. There will be music by local musicians and dancers students from Lindas Dance Studio will perform to the music of a well-known Beatles song Octopuss Garden. Theres the Cents concession and a salmon bbq supper tickets available Brambles until June 8, and also at the event. The costume contest winner will be selected from those who come to the event in the most colourful and imaginative costume on a water theme. Info about the contest can be found in the Water Festival brochure, available at the Civic Centre, Baillie House and the Merritt Library. This past weekend, the New York Islanders announced that forward and former Merritt Centennial Blair Riley agreed to terms on a 1-year, 2-way contract. Riley, 26, played with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Before joining the Sound Tigers, the Kamloops native began his second pro season with the Chicago Express of the ECHL. He skated in 199 career BCHL games, including 120 in Merritt, where he posted 62 goals, 66 assists and 289 penalty Venus travels between the sun and the earth, minutes. He was traded to Nanaimo on in what is known as a Venus transit, in this January 11, 2005. He then went on to 4 sea- image taken through a telescope, inverting sons of collegiate hockey at Ferris State the image, at Central Lakes College in BrainUniversity of the Central Collegiate erd, Minn. on Tuesday June 5, 2012. Hockey Assoc. Then, to the Springfield Falcons, and most of the 2010-11 season with the ECHLs Las Vegas Wranglers, while also seeing brief stints with the AHLs San Antonio Rampage and Peoria Rivermen.

Hiccups While waiting in line at the bank, a co-worker developed a very loud case of hiccups. By the time he reached then teller's window, the hiccups seemed to have worsened.
