The live broadcast starts at 1:15pm on the Legislative Assembly channel and live webcast on the Legislative Assembly website, with the actual speech at 2:15pm. Celebrate Canada is an 11-day celebration that takes place from June 21 to July 1st. it begins with National Aboriginal Day on June 21, chosen because it corresponds to the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and because for generations, many Aboriginal groups have celebrated their culture and heritage at this time of year. Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day is on June 24 and all across the country, french Canadians express their cultural pride and rich heritage. saint-Jean-Baptiste Day festivities combine the ancient rites of the summer solstice - a period of light and hope with the traditional celebration in honour of the Patron saint of french Canadians.
