Email has become mission critical a few years back, and the complexities of its
management has also increased over the years, and it makes sense to outsource
these services because:
At Accel, we realize this need and we offer a wide range of services starting from
platform support to completely outsourced support. Our services have no limitations
in terms of platform or operating systems. We offer end-to-end services, or modular
services as per the needs of the customer. Services include some or all of the
following.
Accel offers solutions to customers, which will enable them to maximize availability
and reduce TCO of IT Infrastructure. SSM is also driven by the same philosophy. Key
objective of SSM is maximum business benefit to customer and it focuses on a
variety of aspects that could potentially affect the business. SSM is a pro-active
service - we do not wait for problems to occur. At the same time, business continuity
is on top our minds, and the process makes sure that if a disaster occurs, customer
is back on business in predictable time.
Platforms
A variety of open source and proprietary platforms are supported by Accel including:
• Microsoft Exchange
• Lotus Domino
• Suse OpenExchange
• Linux Based Solutions including Qmail, Postfix and Sendmail
Messaging system today is not complete without third-party tools for content filtering,
Virus checking and Spam protection. Accel support a variety of tools including open
source solutions like SpamAssassin, ClamAV and proprietary solutions from
Symantec, Trend Micro, Sophos and a lot of other vendors.
Proposal to Customer
Proposed Setup
The picture demonstrates the proposed setup. For the current load, we recommend
mirroring over the Internet. However as the load increases, a private line from client
site to our data center may be considered for faster replication.
Primary Server is colocated at Accel data center and Accel manages all content
filtering mechanisms. Local users at client site use the local mail server and remote
users log into the server at IDC. Accel will ensure performance and throughput as per
the SLAs signed.

Commercials
Following commercials assume a total number of mailboxes of 300. All charges are
per Annum.
Scope
The scope includes administration and management of the messaging platform at
the serving end. It includes Lotus Domino platform, and integration of all software
and hardware for this purpose. It does not include activities at the user (client level)
level, like configuring clients, migrating data etc, which can be taken up at extra cost.
