Parental Involvement:
We encourage parental involvement and participation. We are working to establish a ROTC
Parents Association to support the efforts of our students and the school as a whole. We would like to
have every parent involved in some way. The funds generated from fundraising help offset costs
associated with the JROTC Program.
We need your assistance to ensure cadets wear uniforms on inspections day, complete
assignments on time, participate in all mandatory scheduled (as well as voluntary events) JROTC
activities, and cooperate/respect fellow cadets/instructors. The Army Instructors will call and/or send a
written notice or email to the parent or guardian when a cadet is recognized and awarded for
accomplishments, as well, if the cadet is not performing to his/her potential, unexcused absences, or
inappropriate/disruptive behavior as outlined in Columbus County Schools Student Handbook available
at www.columbus.k12.nc.us.
