Bubble Stabilizing Cage

Available up to
98 diameter
(2490mm)

Battenfeld Gloucesters Bubble Stabilizing Cage is a vital component for optimum blown film bubble stability. Positioned
between the die and collapsers, the bubble cages segmented Teflon rollers provide low friction contact surface, minimizing bubble drag and providing stability over a broad range of diameters. Bubble stability means tighter thickness and layflat
control at higher throughput rates.

Features

Benefits

Segmented Roller Contact Surface

Reduces friction with the bubble minimizing any scratching or stretching

of the film for improved layflat quality.
Provides bubble stability over a wide range of blow-up ratios.
Maintains concentricity over entire adjustment range for optimum film
thickness control
Allows cage height adjustment to provide best bubble stability at different
frost line heights.
Uniform height adjustment via jack screws keeps cage alignment perfect
over years of service.
Minimizes air flow disturbance for tighter gauge uniformity.

Air Bearing Cage

Available up to 86
diameter (2185mm)

Battenfeld Gloucesters Air Bearing Cage is designed to provide bubble containment and stabilization without bubble contact. Designed to be highly versatile, the assembly has individual perforated air bearing heads which are hard anodized and
teflon impregnated, providing bubble stability with virtually no film drag. Better bubble stability means tighter thickness and
layflat control at higher throughput rates.
