A BIG THANK YOU to all that
participated in our Take Me
Out to the Ballgame Luncheon. We had 41
members attend - we ate Hot Dogs & Nachos,
drank Lemonade & Ice Tea, tossed out some
Peanuts & Cracker Jacks, had Chocolate &
Vanilla Ice Cream Cups for dessert and one
lucky person at each table won the table's
centerpiece. I think a good time was had by
all. We even collected enough donations (FreeWill Offering) to pay for everything! THANKS
AGAIN!!

Easter Offering
Wraps Up On
Sunday
The 2016 Easter Offering which
supports the world-wide ministries of the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will
wrap up this Sunday. With gifts March 13 and
March 20, we are $1295 from reaching our
$1,525.00 goal for this years Easter Offering.
Please use the special offering envelope to
make your gift or simply write Easter
Offering on the memo line of your check.
One of the ministries supported by the
Easter Offering is a relatively new venture of
the National Benevolent Association. NBA
XPLOR is described as a prophetic movement
of and for young adults who are discerning
lives of care and service. It involves a
residency of 10 months through which 21-30
years olds live simply in community and
engage in direct service and justice work.
This year 24 XPLOR residents are
living and serving in seven cities with 50
congregations, non-profits and regions of the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Through their dedicated work and spiritual
practice, XPLOR residents are discerning calls
to social work. education, community
organizing, medicine, ministry, and more.
Cristian Marin, a 2015-2016 NBA XPLOR
resident in the Quad Cities area of Iowa and
Illinois, has made this statement about this
experience: NBA XPLOR has inspired me to
speak . . . to not let my voice be shut down.
After all, Jesus was crucified for speaking
about truth, love and justice. He paved the way
for us.
Our gifts to the Easter Offering will
enable more young adults to be part of NBA
XPLOR in the years ahead, plus much more in
our nation and around the world. And this
program clearly fulfills the theme of the 2016
Easter Offering, i.e. To Live, to Love, to
Lead. We are grateful for your generous
support of the 2016 Easter

Love Fullerton
at 8:00 am.
The Rally starts around 8:45 am. I will be
leading the Brunch and Mothers Day craft for
the kids at WTLC. If you would like to
volunteer to help me, either go online to:
lovefullerton.org and sign up or talk to me.
Would love to have your assistance. Donna
This is a partnership of 30+ churches,
city government, the Mayor and City Council,
the Chief of Police, local businesses, service
organizations, public and private education,
and local residents all working together to
enhance the world-class experience of living
and working in our city.
Our mission is to demonstrate
kindness, meet needs and impact lives
together. This last May we had nearly 3000
volunteers serving at 65 different work
projects. Along the way we painted benches,
taught life skills to at-risk youth and spruced
up some neighborhoods.
Our annual event will begin the day
with opening festivities at 8 a.m. which
includes free food and vendors followed by
an opening rally at 9 a.m. The rally takes place
on the plaza at Harbor and Wilshire Ave (121
E. Wilshire Ave). After the brief rally,
volunteers will connect with project leaders for
final instructions and head off to work by 9:30
a.m. Then at 12:30 p.m. we will gather back
together at Fullerton College and enjoy lunch
together. Can you imagine how exciting it is
going to be with 5 cities all gathered together
to celebrate a great day.
Simply click on the projects link, look
over your many options, and hit sign me up!
The best part of Love Fullerton is that it
is a catalyst for the other 364 days of the year.
Click on Other Love Movements and see
how you can be engaged in making a
difference throughout the year.
Invite a friend, join the movement and
lets work together to make Fullerton even
better.
