Methods and Nature of the Sample

Using random digit-dialing (RDD) interviews were conducted with 350 residents of
Rensselaer County. Of those, 104 were conducted via cell phone. Completed
31 | P a g e

interviews from both landline and cell phones calls were merged and weighted by
known age and gender characteristics so as to enhance representativeness.
Data is reported with a margin of error of +/- 5.2 percentage points at the 95%
confidence level having included the design effect of weighting on that margin of
error.
