Dear John:
Yesterday, we finally saw the monster. It was a huge creature. We were
about to surrender but we did it.
We were on the Coast of Japan. Ned was the first person to see the
creature.
When Dr. Aronnax, he was so excited, its over 250 feet long he said.
Nobody could sleep, we were expecting the right moment when the
monster appear again.
Next day, the enormous creature appears. The battle just begins.
Tomorrow I will write you to tell you, hows everything going.

CHAPTER 3

MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE OF FAMOUS PROFESSOR
Last night the expedition in the best American warship Abraham
Lincoln came back home but with sadly news. The well-known
scientist Dr Aronnax disappeared after being thrown overboard by the
force of the water while they were fighting with the monster. With him
felt 2 men more into the water. The Captain Farragut is one of the few
men who manage to get out alive. He was very concerned meanwhile
he was telling us the bad news.
