A. Standards: Visual Arts and History culture. Grade level for this lesson plan is
second grade.

Objectives:
Art history examine from around the world for important clues as

to how people lived their daily lives.


Visual Arts by identifying and interpreting the influence of history
and culture on specific works of art. Using variety of lines, shapes,

colors, and textures to create patterns.


Effective multicultural educator has knowledge to understand
individual learners culture. Skills to respond to students strengths
and weaknesses. Attitudes for positive outlook/values that creates an
appropriate learning environment and models respect with any

concerns for all.


Howards Gardners Eight Intelligences are linguistic intelligence,
music intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, spatial
intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence,

intrapersonal intelligence and naturalist intelligence.


Learning styles we our daily lives such as eyes, ears and our
senses of touch are essential to how we learn. Visual learners use
their minds to stray during verbal activities, they notice more
details about things and use phrases such as see what Im saying.
Auditory learners enjoy music, they like to read books and they
easily get distracted by noise. Kinesthetic leaners like to have a
physical reward, they like to try new things and likes to touch the
person while talking to them.
