Big Brothers Big Sisters needs your help

Millions of children in the United States face adversity. Children who have positive role models are more likely to
succeed than those who do not. Big Brothers Big Sisters one-to-one mentoring services are proven to help children
overcome adversity and beat the odds.
Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most enjoyable things youll ever do. Not to mention, one of the most
fulfilling. You have the opportunity to help shape a childs future for the better by empowering him or her to achieve
their highest potential. And the best part is, its actually a lot of fun. You and your little can share the kinds of
activities you already like to do.
Such as: play or attend sporting events, read books, eat pizza, make cookies, go to movies, or just give some advice
and inspiration.
Volunteering just a few hours a month with a child can start something amazing. So why not apply to be a Big
today? There are kids out there ready to get started. Are you?
You can help children have higher aspirations, greater confidence and educational success. You have the power to
change the life of a child for the better, forever. You can Start Something. Imagine the possibilities, call 392-3863
today.

We held our 9th Annual Summer Picnic at the
Community Building on Sunday, June 11th from
11am-1pm. There were piatas, face painting, bingo,
bounce house, water balloon piatas, water relay
races, and an ice-cream sundae bar. We enjoyed
beautiful weather, and a great time was had by all!

Thanks to everyone that came out

to make this such a special day!!

Thanks for supporting our 1st

Annual Putt-Putt for Kids Sake!

We will miss the guidance and leadership of

outgoing board members Ann Muston,
Drew Holdren and Don Polk (not pictured) for their
six years of dedication and service.

With school starting around the

corner, we are always seeking
mentors for our school-based
program which is 1 hour per
week. The mentor meets with a
child helping them with schoolwork, social skills and building a
friendship. Call 392-3863 today!
