Firmware Software Upgarde Instructions

WINRAR IS REQUIRED FOR THIS INSTALLATION.

** Remove all your files off your player BEFORE Installing the Firmware Upgrade**
Please make sure you remove all your music and files off your nanoLite Mp3 Player and place
them in a temporary folder somewhere on your computer before starting.
The Firmware Software will erase all files off your player during the installation of this upgrade.

Step 1:

**Make sure your nanoLite MP3 Player is disconnected before starting**

(Fig.1) Download and save the nanoLite upgrade software New.rar file from our
website www.nanolite.co.uk to your Desktop.
Step 2:
The file should display on your desktop as shown in Fig.2.

Step 3:
Double-click on the nanoLite upgrade software New.rar or right-click and
open with WinRAR software.
(See Fig.3) In the nanoLite upgrade software New.rar are 2 files named:
BR3XXX_FirmwareTool_20100811SP33

JS_3188C_12864_fm5807SP_NSD_ 0831_new

Step 4:
Select the 2 files named: vBR3XXX_FirmwareTool_20100811SP33 and
JS_3188C_12864_fm5807SP_NSD_ 0831_new and using WinRAR Extract to
Desktop (See Fig.4 & 5).

Step 5:
Select the file named BR3XXX_FirmwareTool_20100811SP33 and keep extracting
until you reach the last folder (See Fig.6) containing 3 files:
flash
misc
fusblink28.exe

Open and run the application software named: fusblink28.exe.
The application will display the following window (See Fig.7).
In the Text Field named Label, enter a name for your nanoLite Player (above displays
the example name: NANOLITE.

Back in the application fusblink28.exe. Click the Add Files Button and add the 2 files
named: JS_3188C_12864_fm5807SP_NSD_0831_new.bin and prefer.dat
from the JS_3188C_12864_fm5807SP_NSD_ 0831_new folder into the application.
As shown above (See Fig.8).

Step 8:
Plug your nanoLite MP3 Player into your
computer via USB (See Fig.9).
Step 9:
Once your nanoLite MP3 Player is connected to your
computer, the upgrade will start automatically (See Fig.10).

Step 10:
Once your nanoLite MP3 Player Firmware Upgrade has successfully been installed
(See Fig.11).
You can begin storing your music on the player straight away.
It is not necessary to remove and reconnect your nanoLite MP3 Player (See Fig.12)
Enjoy your New Upgraded nanoLite MP3 Player with revised Shuffle Function.
