There are many ways to compare things. Often, we use an adjective and one of the following
sentences patterns:
Expressions for Comparing Two Objects
cheap, easy to use
cheaper (than),
easier to use (than)
comfortable, powerful
more comfortable (than), more powerful (than)

As a class: Look at the advertisements below and make comparisons between the products:

Advantages of Cool Walkers


Cool Walkers are cheaper than Slim Jimms.

Advantages of Slim Jimms:


Slim Jimms are more durable than Cool Walkers.

Work in pairs. Compare these items. Write your comparisons down in your workbook or on a
separate piece of paper.

Thats like comparing apples and oranges.


This means that two things are so different that you cant compare them.
