Identifying aspects

After your first viewing, identify which four aspects of the text you will focus on
circle these on the list below. Choose important aspects that have made an impact on
you in some way and are important for their meaning or for the effect they provide.
Visual and Oral features to choose from.
Camera shots- Long shot, establishing shot, mid shot, close-up, big close-up
Camera angles High angle, low angle,
Camera movement tracking, panning
Editing Montage, flashback, transitions (fade/dissolve) jumpshot
Actors performance movement, gesture, dialogue, facial expression

For each of the four aspects that you have circled you must provide supporting
evidence. This means you must provide at least one specific example to clearly
describe each aspect.

Explanation
In the explanation column, you need to explain why the film maker used the technique;
how it added to the meaning of the text and the effect it had on you as the audience.
