PR Plan

I. Situation:
ATL Vision is hosting the Pieced Together Festival July 27, 2016, for children and
families affected by autism or Aspergers syndrome. In addition to its benefits to the community,
this festival is designed to increase and diversify the audience of ATL Visions block of
childrens programming, Kid Planet.
II. Audiences:

Families affected by autism or Aspergers syndrome

Potential volunteers
o Young adults
o Churches
o Friends of attendees

III. Objectives and Tactics:

To conduct a media relations campaign to raise awareness of the festival

o Conduct a regional media tour with CEO DAngelo Walton
o Secure placement of Alex Keepers on an Atlanta morning talk show

To generate earned media

o Build the worlds largest jigsaw puzzle

To reach a wide, diverse audience to increase word-of-mouth publicity, further reaching a

larger audience
o Have Walton throw the first pitch at an Atlanta Braves game

IV. Goals:
Our goal is to increase attendance, reaching as much as the community affected by autism
and Aspergers syndrome. ATL Vision currently anticipates 3,000 attendees.
As the anticipated attendee count increases, the anticipated volunteer count will also need
to increase.

V. Timeline:
The summer season is ideal for increasing an audience for childrens programming.
Below are the model dates for our strategies:

DAngelo Waltons or Alex Keepers media tour should be held the week leading up to
the festival: Monday July 18 through Friday July 22.

The jigsaw puzzle should be revealed the weekend before the festival: July 23-24.

The only upcoming home games for the Atlanta Braves are July 15-17.
o These are the only available dates for a ceremonial first pitch.

VII. Evaluation:
To collect placements in publications and broadcast media and the audience reached
VIII. Summary:
A proven Atlanta media source, ATL Vision requests a mutually beneficial proposal to
promote its upcoming Pieced Together Festival.
