Batch A
Treak to Kuari, Chai Thathar (UttarKashi)
Location/: TSAF Base camp is located at Kuflon i.e. 10 kms from Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi is
6-7 hours by Road from Haridwar. Kuflon is well connected by roads from Uttarkashi.
Students are to be divided into teams of 9-10 members (preferably not more than 10).
Number of participants in Batch 45 to 49
TSAF Batch A: Reporting date 21 Oct (Friday). Haridwar Railway station. Pick up time 6.30
am.
Program outline:
Day 0 (Friday, 21 Oct): Pick up from Railway station. Depart to base location by Tempo
Traveller (9-11 in one). Arrive at base location (Kuflon) by 6.00 pm. Group formation and
camp information, briefing.
Day 1 (Saturday, 22 Nov): Morning Tea, Physical Training, Leaders of Day, Rock Climbing/
Abseiling & Flying fox, Lunch, Team Building Activities, Feedback Session, Video Show
Day 2 (Sunday, 23 Nov): Trek to Kuari (7800ft) and overnight stay at Camp (Kuari)
Day 3 (Monday, 24 Nov): Trek to Chai Thathar (9000ft) and upper Chai Thathar and back to
Kuari camp and stay overnight.
Day 4 (Tuesday, 25 Nov): Trek back to Base Camp (Kuflon), Overall De briefing and
Feedback
Day 5 (Wednesday, 26 Nov): Dispersal in the morning from base camp at 6.30 am to home.
Batch A should be in Haridwar by Wednesday (26 Nov) evening once they start from base
camp their return journey

Batch B

Some Important Information/ Tips for participants

Indian Railway opens their reservation 120 days earlier to travel dates. Make sure you
book your reservation on the first day of opening itself so that you can avoid the hassle of
waiting ticket due to Diwali rush.
Batches will start their journey of 8 hrs to base camp from Haridwar. Be ready at their
reporting time at Haridwar. By evening, you should be at base camp. Hence, we cannot
delay our journey further as road will be blocked at Night time. Keeping this situation in
mind and also delay in train arrival to Haridwar should be taken into consideration for
making travel plan. Last year, even after starting at reporting time, teams reached the base
camp after 7 pm (more than 9-10 hours). Journey through the hilly area is difficult during
night time and restricted by authorities.
It is advisable for participants to arrive a day before, and it is good idea to explore
Haridwar or Rishikesh locations before start of the HOP than at end of HOP.
We will be adding your email ids to one common email ID for each batch. Other
information (what to carry) will be communicated to each batch by TSAF/PGP office to
the same email ID.
All participants can plan their return journey accordingly. Please see the schedule send by
PGP office for your respective location.
IIM Indore pays 2/3 fees of HOP while remaining 1/3 is to be shared by a participant
including travel to base camp or any other accommodation before reaching and after
leaving base camp.
