YOUTH SUNDAY
Join us on Sunday, August 21, as we CELEBRATE Summer Youth Activities during both the
8:45 am Contemporary Worship Service and the 10:55 am Traditional Worship Service.
Worship Music will be provided by our Youth Praise Band.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH
An Awesome celebration is planned for children and youth at the SFASU Recreation Center!
We will have private use of the pool and courtyard on Friday, August 19 from 7:00-9:00pm.
The whole family is invited to enjoy the fun! Children, youth and parents are welcome to visit,
swim, play volleyball, and enjoy the fellowship.

PROMOTION SUNDAY
Sunday, Aug 28 is Promotion Sunday. This years third grade students will receive their bibles
during the Early and Late Services. During the Sunday School hour, all children will engage in
festivities celebrating a new Sunday School year and new teachers, and then be dismissed to
their new classes.

FALL COMMON GROUND


We have some exciting news to share! Common Ground is back beginning Sunday, September 11th with a new day and new time. Thats right! We are moving to Sunday evenings from
5:30 to 7:30 pm and will last 10 consecutive weeks (ending Nov 13th). This change comes in
response to your feedback, and we are excited to connect with everyone who was unable to
attend before. There is something for every age group and walk of life, and nursery will be
provided. So, come connect and join in as we grow in our faith! Let me fill you in on some of
the details

MENS SOFTBALL
Summer is slowly coming to a close and that means it's time for softball to begin. We are putting together a team to play
in the Nacogdoches Parks & Recreation league. Everyone from seasoned athletes to complete beginners are welcome!
It's a great way to make new friends and get some exercise at the same time. The games begin September 5th and signups close mid-August. Email Pastor Trent Oliver at trent.o@fumcnac.org if you are interested.
