Internet: Students may only have access to Internet sites that have been provided by
a teacher or designated personnel. During school hours, students may only access
the HCBE_BYOD Wi-Fi network.
Respect Privacy and Property: Students may not use the Internet to vandalize,
damage, or disable the property of another individual or organization. Attempts to
view restricted information or networks are prohibited.
Be Polite and Kind: Cyberbullying is defined as any intentional written, verbal, or
visual act carried out through the use of technology, which a reasonable person
would perceive as threatening, harassing, embarrassing, or intimidating.
Respect the Law: Students will not use the system for any purpose that violates the
law. Students may not use the internet to violate copyright, plagiarize, or otherwise
use the intellectual property of another individual or organization without
permission.
Keep Personal Information Private: Students may not place their or any other
persons last names, addresses or phone numbers on any internet service accessed
through school system technology.
Protect your Password: Students will not share their user IDs, passwords, or user log
on accounts with others, and must make all efforts to safeguard such information
from unauthorized users. Any student who identifies a security problem must notify
an adult, teacher/supervisor, or administrator immediately.
I understand and will abide by the above Acceptable Use Policies. Should I violate any of the AUP, my access privileges may be taken
away, school disciplinary action and/or appropriate legal action may be taken.
