Utilizing a constructivist career counseling theory, taught an elective class that is geared to
teach students the skills and competencies to confidently make decisions regarding their
careers for both now and in the future. Guiding students step-by-step in narrating their own
life story for the first one-third of the course, giving feedback with every required journal
assignment to understand each students personal background and current career needs.
Meets with students one-on-one throughout the course as a part of requirement, give feedback
and guidance how to meet each and assist each student individually, practicing skills and
reflection practices that will be utilized throughout their lifetime.
High School English Teacher

Lexington High School Lexington, OH
Implementing lesson plans for 9th,11th, and 12th grade English classes. Experience in Senior
English, focusing on each student meeting the writing and reading expectations required at the
collegiate level. Taught a class entitled Reading for College, focused on advanced preparation of
intensive reading and writing, while conducting the class as that of a collegiate level course.
Experience in both Junior English and Advanced Junior English focused on creative writing,
research, persuasive writing, rhetoric, grammar, vocabulary, and American literature. Focus for
9th grade English includes Shakespeare, poetry, grammar, vocabulary, short stories, and young
adult literature.
