front of the Natural History Museum around
10:15 AM. Lunch will be eaten at the groups
discretion. Groups are free to navigate any of the
museums, however we must all meet back at the

take every year and the students always love it!

OCTOBER 2016

October 11th is our school wide Autumn Fest! In

the gym, from 10am to 3pm we will have
vendors, crafts, games, family activities, and great
food! This is fun that the whole family can enjoy.

Math: This month math is all about fractions.

Well be working with parts of a whole,
identifying improper fractions,
addition/subtraction with a common denominator,
and working towards addition/subtraction with
uncommon denominators.

Science: In science were going to be learning

all about living things. Were going to be
touching on the Life Cycle, interaction between
life and environment, and eventual touch on the
food web/chain. Its a fun unit that the students
will definitely enjoy!

Reading: This month were going to be

working with two different versions of the classic
fairy tale, The Three Little Pigs. One is a
wonderful reimagining of the classic fairy tale in
story form while the other is a play. It will
definitely be a fun lesson!

up on the parade route and
encourage their kids!
