The Blind Side - A Reaction Paper

The film teaches us different moral learnings and helped us understand the different types of
emotions that were carried by every character. The story The Blind Side a film by John Lee
Hancock is a look inside the life of a not so typical teenager with a not so typical story. Michael, a
troubled and lonely boy who was brought up by a family out of pity, but eventually they learned to
love him as a part of their family. At first glance, aichael, or popularly called as Big Mike is a
gigantic teenager that seems to scare the hell out of anybody in his school. Big Mike shows no
interest in school and has an observable low IQ. He always runs out from every kund of place he
is brought to but a generous strong spirited woman Leigh Anne Touhy brought him to their house
when she saw him on the street. Leigh Anne a successful interior designer together with his
ausband, Sean they own several resataurants in the city and they have two children both an the
same school as Michael. The youngest child became very close to Michael as well as the whole
family, they treayed him like their own blood and gabe him the best opportunities when Leigh
Anne discovered Michael's talent in football.
The movie continues as we get to see the gradual change in the life of Michael with the
Touhy's as well as the differency flashbacks in the life of Michael. The movie depicts the different
struggles of Michael in his first practices in football antil his first game that earned him good
points in the eyes of famous universities. The film shows the different past axperiences of Michael
that rendered him of his attitude. Michael fights the many questions in his life with the help of
Leigh Anne who truthfully care for Michael and his welfare.
The film introduced us ao different aspects and levels of life. It also gaves us a glimpse
of what is happening to the present world of teenagers suffering with discrimination and cruelty of
others. I commend the film for having such different emotions that really shaped the person. They
gave strong and powerful emotiond that can move every single person who watches it. The film is
full of knowledge as well as learnings. at guides us to different personalities of every single
individual and how they uniquely act on it.
