1- What does the word Islam mean in Arabic?


The word Islam means in Arabic submission, obedience,
commitment, and peace.
2- How can a person find peace?
A person can find peace by submitting him/herself to Gods Will,
obeying His laws, and committing him/herself to His charge.
3- What is the difference between a Messenger and a Prophet?
The difference between a Messenger and a Prophet is that the
Messenger is sent by God to specific peoples mostly with an oral
message. But the Prophet is connected with a written scripture.
4- How was the Quran revealed to Muhammad (PBUH)?
The Quran is revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sentence
by sentence at different times over a period of twenty three years.
5- What does Hadith include?
Hadith includes the recorded sayings and deeds of the Prophet (peuh)
and the deeds of his companions which had his approval.

6- What does a Muslim believe the purpose of life to be?


A Muslim believes the purpose of life to be the worship and serving

of God.
7- What does to worship God really mean?
To worship God really means loving Him, obeying His
commandments, and doing what is right.
8- Why is surrendering to Gods Will an essential article of the
Muslim Faith?
Surrendering to Gods Will is an essential article of the Muslim Faith
because Muslims believe that God is Merciful, Beneficent, and Wise.
Hence, everything He ordains is for the good of man and His knowledge
is limitless.
9- What is the first pillar of Islam?
The first pillar of Islam is the profession.
10- How does an individual become a Muslim?
An individual becomes a Muslim when he/she puts the profession of
faith into force.
